Hello! My name's Sevesh. I've recently gotten into warhammer, partly from the video games (bloodbowl and total war specifically) and have fallen in love with the Lizardmen/Seraphon. I'm mostly looking to learn more about the lore at the moment, until I can pick up some models and do some painting and the like, but I'm excited to meet new people and learn what I can!

You may find Lustriapedia pretty useful in learning the lore, and reading other fluff pieces done by other people.

I also learned about warhammer through total war too.

As you've been drawn into the hobby through Blood Bowl and Total War, I can make several suggestions as to assist your hobby path:
  • In case you didn't know, a Lizardmen Blood Bowl team was released not that long ago. The issue of Spike! magazine featuring their rules has gone out of stock, but GW will soon be releasing the Blood Bowl Almanac for this year, in which the rules for Lizardmen teams will feature, so that will be well worth you getting.
  • GW have announced that Warhammer Fantasy will return in their upcoming game Warhammer: The Old World. Given that you like Warhammer: Total War and Fantasy Lizardmen, it would be worth waiting for it to come along as AoS Seraphon play differently to Warhammer Lizardmen as I understand it and have very different lore that you might not like so much. I know it will be a long wait, but I imagine that won't stop you from buying a few models to try out paint schemes and so on, or reading the collected lore in the Lustriapedia ;)

Thank you for the advice! I definitely will keep these things in mind going forward here, and I'll certainly keep my eye out for things.
