And all of the Slaves to Darkness in a convenient SC!

Ok. I'm all over for those Warriors.

But I'm 50/50 for the Knights. Poses are great, but I still like the previous cavalry armour a lot more. Also, those lances are a no-no for me.

Also also, no banners, no musician? Wonder which rules they will change. Hope we still have all the weapons options.

What makes the news for me is that bloody Chaos dewback. Can't wait to see SW conversions.

I'm a bit worried about prices, tho.

- Chaos Knights were in packs of 5 in 8E. Then they are in packs of 10 since AoS at the same price (or almost, I don't really remember. I do remember Bloodcrushers came in packs of 3, now on 6, and cost exactly the same, which is a real good deal). Are they going to cost more now for half the packages now? because the picture has only 5, and while the SC! bundle has also 5, I wonder if we are going to see them sold separetly on 5s.
- Chaos Warriors are in packs of 16, 12 in the current SC!. Now they seem to come in 10s, and I am quite certain that they will come on packs of 10 from now on. I'm assuming that they will cost the same because they want to justify the dynamic poses.
- So am I only going to get my Chariots and Sorcerers via online store?

meh, I'm only curious about how those tribes are going to interact with it. The wacry bands released so far don't really form a coherent army. And building it around one such tribe seems difficult.

Thought you’d be the first to find out about new Warriors of Chaos models :p

What do you think of them? I think the new Warriors do look great with the more dynamic poses (I’ve always thought the models do look pretty decent for Warriors of Chaos, it’s their OP Fantasy Rules that’s the cause of my dislike for them), but don’t you think that another plastic Chaos Knights kit is a bit unnecessary, as the previous ones were already pretty dynamic?

I’d also be interested to see what Lizardmen players think of the Chaos Dewback as a potential dinosaur conversion, and what Tomb Kings players think of the Sphinx.

As you can imagine, I don't keep a very close eye on AoS stuff.

I think the new Chaos Warriors look fantastic. These are a much better fit for AoS than the old ones. Dynamic and varied poses work much better for a game utilizing a loose skirmish formation. For rank and file, I like the old Chaos Warriors because the uniformity makes sense for a unit that is marching in unison (plus I can't imagine these would ever physically rank up properly).

I agree with you, the knights are a bit redundant. The new ones look great but so did the old ones. There isn't that much differentiating them unless the scale has changed a bit (I'd need to see them side by side).

That dewback model looks great. It's a shame that I can't find any use for it in my WFB WoC army. It is much too large to be used as a daemonic mount. As for use in a Lizardmen army, that's a lot of very chaos looking armour to deal with.

and what Tomb Kings players think of the Sphinx.
It's a bit... strange. I don't believe I'd ever want to field it in my TK army because the aesthetic feels very different. I'm sure someone with great painting/converting skills will pull it off though.

My wife and I are of the exact same opinion! The cat is too weird, but the rest is absolutely splendid.
I think the cat would look a tad better if it didn't have such a long neck.
I mean: it is weird and has horns so one could say that it is sufficiently Chaos-y, Tzeentch influenced, and the sculpt seems nicely detailed. But still, compared to the others it is weaker IMO.

I agree. It isn't a bad sculpt at all, it is just is a little bit too strange for my liking. It doesn't seem to fit seamlessly with anything I can think of.
