GW News: LAS VEGAS OPEN 2025

Hahaha

I didn't want to make any assumptions. For some reason or another, people seem to get really excited about all this AoS and Stromcast stuff.

Yeah I am not exactly their biggest fan. Or to be more precise: I am not a fan of GW being so obsessed about them, neglecting other armies.

I read something on fb that indicated they ditched Bretonnia from this new GHB...couldn't even be bothered to take half a page and list off points/per unit.

What else is / will be missing?
  • Tomb Kings?
  • ...

I can't believe you haven't figured it out yet! It's so obvious!

It's a painting.

IIRC the only official statement concerning compendium armies (like TK or Brettonia) seems to be that they will have points but nothing else.

...if it's obvious, then get on with it, state the obvious,...

...then we'll all know the worthiness of your contemplations.

Poor Bretonnia... they were always shafted in terms of GW support.

I saw this embedded in a bunch of commentary on farcebook:

Warhammer AOS said:
...Don't worry, you can still use your army.

All models in the game today will still be usable.
This book's focus, as you might expect, are the prominent forces of the Mortal Realms right now, but a lot of armies get new bonuses.
Armies from the Old World Compendiums, won't be in the book, but full matched play profiles will be made available for you, so you can absolutely keep playing with all your models.

Seems it is confirmed that there will be no new spells for Seraphon in the book. :(

Well, news for us from today's entry on Warhammer-Community:

The Seraphon are one of the most improved armies in the new General’s Handbook, with new allegiance abilities, warlord traits, artefacts and two Warscroll battalions. The most powerful of these is the Lords of Space and Time allegiance ability – which lets you remove a unit and replace it anywhere on the battlefield more than 9″ from the enemy. One of the best units to combine this with is a Troglodon, which – with its increased charge range thanks to Drawn to the Screams – should be more than able to make the 9″ charge move.

There are loads of other tactical uses for this ability too; you could use it to drop a Massive Regiment of Saurus Warriors on top of a key objective or to reposition a valuable support unit like an Engine of the Gods away from a dangerous group of enemies.

Seems it is confirmed that there will be no new spells for Seraphon in the book. :(

Is just a preview. We have to wait until the Handbook releases to know more. Given how Seraphon are one of the most improved armies, there might be some serious buffs, also, the preview says "The most powerful of these", so we could expect to get at least one more, maybe three, like the Sylvaneth.

Also, they aren't mentioning spells so far, neither for Order or Death. And I seriously doubt that there aren't going to be new spells.
