I'd like to ask what "Chapter Approved" is. A rules update like the GHB2017 for AoS?? Does it make the core rule book obsolete?

It's an addendum to the 40K rule book. From what I've read, it contains 1. Vehicle Design Rules, 2. More stratagems, relics, and warlord traits, particularly for non-updated armies, 3. Apocalypse rules and other new ways to play the game, including more battle plans for Planetstrike and Stronghold Assault, and 4. Other new stuff.

Do you mean the campaign is better or did they alter other mechanics?


Looks like CA gave the Tomb Kings are pretty full roster. It looks like just about everything is represented. What have we not seen? Bone Giant (but we have the cooler Heirotitan), Swarms. Anything else?

I cannot really answer you here ad i don't play it ( ) but i am collecting impressions and reviews wich essentially boil down to:
1) the software has been improved.
2) the world is larger and more interesting

It was nice while it lasted.

It's only because everyone was hoping that the Destruction Malign Portents hero would be a Goblin, and it is, a Night Goblin to be exact. I actually quite like him because he would be a good Night Goblin Great Shaman model for my Orcs and Goblins.

In any case, I've been looking at an unboxing video of the Mantic Empire of Dust stuff and I'm really, really, REALLY tempted to start Tomb Kings now! Especially as the Empire of Dust starter army, basically the Mantic equivalent of a battalion box with a character as well is only £30 on some sites, where it would normally be £60. Now THAT's what I call good value models!

It contains 20 Skeleton Warriors, 20 Archers, 10 Tomb Guard, 3 Ushabti, a Screaming Skull Catapult and a dual-purpose character model that can be built as either a Tomb King or a Liche High Priest (although the Tomb King looks badass I would probably have to make him as the priest to have a Heirophant, although I could get another of the model to make the Tomb King version afterwards), and for £30 that's quite a good starter for TK I think.

Sounds like a great deal. The GW stuff would cost you magnitudes more! (especially now that they are discontinued)
