Hopefully it gets better rules than the gyrocopter!

They both are little (-ish) things that fly that have a (flame?) cannon sticking out the front.

Did the gryphhounds ever reach stores? @Cristhian MLR is there pix of them?

They did, I picked up a 5 pack of Gryph-Hounds just the other day.

I also bought a pack of them when they were released. So yeah, they definitely were in stores.
I have assembled but not painted them yet.

My local store sold out of them within two hours of release so I never even knew they came out. They look awesome!!

I think I know what is this, but I'll say it a bit later on this post.

Are you a loyal Guardman? then listen up! there is some important information for you: https://www.warhammer-community.com...ou-cant-drop-everything-and-join-the-crusade/

Two nice little reads;
Know a bit more about Andy Smillie: https://www.warhammer-community.com...ld-claims-about-his-hobby-ambitions-for-2017/
And Daniel W.: https://www.warhammer-community.com/2017/03/09/daniels-middle-earth-collection/

A shiny, baroque and powerful sight is coming to 40K; meet the finest among the finest, and deploy them to honour the Mankin: https://www.warhammer-community.com/2017/03/10/talons-of-the-emperor-in-the-41st-millennium/
This bundle contains rules to deploy Custodes and Sisters of Silence on 40K games, and it also has a good discount on miniatures.

Tartaros Terminators and Mark III Space Marines on individual boxes: https://www.warhammer-community.com/2017/03/11/mark-iii-space-marines-tartaros-terminators/

Here is a reminder of all the stuff we've been having all through this year so far. It also emphasises on more news from AdeptiCon. I'd say that they still have an ace up their sleeves: https://www.warhammer-community.com/2017/03/12/big-news-coming-this-week/

GW is also promoting their own Warhammer Fest. The Hobbit will be present here: https://www.warhammer-community.com/2017/03/14/the-hobbit-at-warhammer-fest/

Two new sets were announced on GAMA Trade Show:

The first one is Shadow War: Armageddon, a new game with an seriously awesome scenery and is based on the Necromunda rules!:
https://www.warhammer-community.com/2017/03/14/new-game-announced-at-gama-trade-show/
https://www.warhammer-community.com/2017/03/15/war-returns-to-armageddon/

And AoS got three big announcements in just one day: https://www.warhammer-community.com/2017/03/15/a-new-race-descends-on-the-mortal-realms/

Yes, we all already know about the new faction; Kharadron Overlords, the new duardin faction joining the fight in the Mortal Realms. I loved their ships and basic infantry. They are all covered in armour and suits; they are basically sky dwarfs. That sounds really interesing, but personally I'm not a fan of their whole aesthetics. Yes, they look cool, but I dunno, they almost look that they come from another franchise.
Yes, I was right they were previewed 15 day ago on the Rumour Engine. And speaking off, the March 8th entry seems to be the second set on GAMA Trade Show, which was also previewed on the same article on Warhammer-Community: Blood & Thunder, a new AoS Starter set.
Blood & Thunder will make it far easier and quickly to start playing AoS, since it includes easy-to-build miniatures, which are on golden or red plastic to differentiate them. This set includes almost all of the previous starter set miniatures, barring the Khorne Mighty Lord and Lord-Celestant on Dracoth, but it also includes a small vinyl, double sided mat, photographed from the Shattered Dominion game board, and the box itself can be used like a scenery piece. This box look a lot like the Rumour Engine – March 8th, 2017. The game will come out this summer. Take a closer look here:

And Warhammer Underworlds: Shadespire. Could it be a Mordheim-based game on AoS?

This is certainly a new scenery piece. Or it look like.

And the Regimental Standard declares Armageddon The Best Place to Die: https://www.warhammer-community.com...-armageddon-officially-the-best-place-to-die/

Yet more reinforcements for the Middle-earth: https://www.warhammer-community.com/2017/03/17/reinforcements-for-good-and-evil/

And here we got the Blitzmania 2017 Champion! it's a rat!: https://www.warhammer-community.com...il-an-interview-with-the-blitzmania-champion/

The first Warhammer Underworlds: Shadespire was unveiled, and we'll get more information about it on AdeptiCon: https://www.warhammer-community.com/2017/03/17/more-news-from-the-underworlds/

Back on 40K, The Talons of the Emperor has been released this week, and not only with a bundle, but also with individual boxes for the Custodes and Sisters of Silence: https://www.warhammer-community.com/2017/03/18/talons-out/

Yes, you also know this already, but it dosen't harm to repeat it: Blades of Khorne, a new Battletome, will be out on April, alongside the Kharadron Overlords. The Battletome will include updated rules for Bloodbound, Daemonic, and Mortal Khornate armies. There won't be new models, tho. That's okay, since we include the Slaves to Darkness models, making up for over 40 models getting an update. Yes, a new plastic kit of Flesh Hounds and maybe some new Khornegors would've been great, but I think we could see them on a future campaign: https://www.warhammer-community.com/2017/03/19/coming-to-the-mortal-realms-this-april/

Also, Iron Dwarf:

OI! AR YE A TROLL? SOME BOYZ ARE LOOKIN' FER YA ON FACEBOOK

AND HERE'S A DEATHROLLER DA!: https://www.warhammer-community.com/2017/03/20/hes-on-a-roll/

And finally, there goes a rumour I learned while I was visiting Mexico City:

While I was on a gaming store, I talked about with the shop owner. I talked with him about how good where the previous Battleforces, and that I didn't had luck to grab one for myself.

He then said me that there will be chances to get them later on; he said me that GW will be rotating them from time to time alongside new Battleforces for different armies, some of which will be available later on this year.

He also said me that GW will change the contents of some SC! boxes, and he was pretty sure that they will change a bit the Stormcast box, after the reboxes they had this last month.

He also affirmed me that Spire of Dawn is going to be a permanent part of the AoS range.

Of course, this is a little rumour. I don't have actual confirmations about it. Don't take this as if it is already confirmed.

This has being an excellent year so far. I can't expect less from the rest.

Well they did recently give Stormcast models without helms, I wouldnt be surprised if the same comes along for these Dwarf guys. I feel like they need at least one with no helm and a monocle or some steampunk goggles just to round things out. :p

Ain't happening. Since always the Stormcast have had human eyes. This dwarfs are all about pimpin' up their armours.

Personally, I would't be surprised if Seraphon get an updated Battletome after the release of General's Handbook 2.0. There are so many other factions (Death Faction, Aelves of all flavours, Slaanesh followers) that have had no books or much in updates since AOS started that they really should be dealt with first.

No, they shouldn't. Partially.

Thanks to the big difference that made the Sylvaneth battletome to all the previous ones, the first battletomes have to be updated too. Doing that is almost as good as a regular release. Also, this is not just a Bloodbound update. This also affect daemons and Slaves to Darkness, so it also counts as a major release for them.

Looks like today's rumor engine is showing an Aelf hand with a dragon whelp.

When the eventual update for Death comes along, I kind of hope they revisit the Egyptian motif of the Tomb Kings. They could even poke some fun at Stargate with the whole realms bit.

So ah, friend of mine is at Adepticon and took this pic.

AdeptiCon, day one.

But before we start, this week Rumour Engine: https://www.warhammer-community.com/2017/03/22/rumour-engine-march-22nd-2017/

184068-RumourEngineMar22.jpg

A motherf**** winged snake on a motherf**** Kharadron airship.

The pale skin and the winged snake makes me immediatly on Vampires or Dark Elves. No matter which of the two is, that's bloody cool!

(Okay, enough jokes).

Also, another great article from Matthijs; this time giving us tips to deploy your units the most efficiently: https://www.warhammer-community.com/2017/03/21/tactical-toolbox-deployment/

Now, onto AdeptiCon (see the four days schedule here: https://www.warhammer-community.com/2017/03/21/warhammer-live-at-adepticon/):

I'll go with our sister game, 40K, because there are two amazing news:

Let's take a look inside of the studio:

We've got three things confirmed:
  1. You can't drop a drop pod (who would knew?).
  2. Plastic Thunderhawk.
  3. Square bases for 40K ont he next edition (what an amazing idea, I hope they transfer thar idea to AoS!)
But not only that: 40K is getting some AoS treatment:

Open, Narrative and Matched games
, thematic army bonuses, movement stats (independent move distances), shooting (armour save modifiers), combat phase (charges go first, rewarding outmaneuvers. You control who attacks first, no longer entirely based on Initiative) and morale (Battleshock 40K): https://www.warhammer-community.com/2017/03/23/warhammer-40000-news-from-adepticon/

The Death Guard, favoured sons of the Grand Father, will soon bring us all His great gifts (https://www.warhammer-community.com/2017/03/23/news-from-the-plague-planet/):

New Plague Marines and Nurgle Cultists. I wonder if AoS will also have to prepare for a new plague.

Those Nurgle Cultists look suspicious...

Remember Warscroll Builder? GW will work with his creator, making it official now: https://www.warhammer-community.com/2017/03/23/warscroll-builder-coming-soon/

Warhammer Underworlds: Shadowspire, will launch late this year. It's a new game. An arena game with, to a degree, faction-exclusive action decks and dices, designed for competitive, balanced, small-scale combats, with an organized system.

While the core set feature the classic Stormcast and Bloodbound factions, they will launch more sets later on, with easy-to-assemble, push-fit sprues, on coloured plastic, with no need to glue, and for different factions, including some that have not received any new miniatures since AoS launched.

Check the article here, which includes pics of the starter models: https://www.warhammer-community.com/2017/03/23/shadespire-unveiled/

I really like how it's looking. The models look amazing (those Khorne warriors? they look BRUTAL), I like how the gameplay looks and I love that they will bring new heroes (and surely that means that they will get their repective warscroll for AoS).

Uhm, that tomb is full of skeletons with interesting jewelry and clothes, worthy of kings.

Meet the winner of The Hobbit Grand Tournament 2017: https://www.warhammer-community.com/2017/03/23/armies-of-the-hobbit-grand-tournament-winner/

Inside AdeptiCon, there have been new previews of the Kharadron Overlords rules; including the largest warscroll to date for their transport ships, including rules for disembarking, overburdened charge, if it gets destroyed, and how your flying infantry can clamp to them and don't count towards the ship capacity.

I can't show you all in one convenient at the moment, but I guess it's pretty safe to assume that they will be ready on the next three days on Warhammer-Community.

But the tabletop games aren't the only ones having attention. Oh no.

At the moment of posting this, if you visit https://www.totalwar.com/, you will be redirected to a countdown, on top of a jungle. They will announce something the next week, but if you take a close look towards the bottom of that jungle, you will found a pyramid shrouded by mist.

And I think we all can agree that is not that common to see those needles on top of many real world pyramids, but you do find them on a certain jungle on certain world...

Well, it has been just the first day. Who knows what we'll see tomorrow on AdeptiCon?

AoSified 40k rules is amazing, might actually seem accessible enough for me to start a 40k army.

About Warscrollbuilder:
Sounds great at first glance, but.... I would be pretty surprised if it retains the points values.
We'll see.

I can't see them removing the points from it. That's one of the most major reasons people use it...

Exactly. Then they could just make the points public, which they not seem to want.

IMO it is also a bit strange, why should they support it and try to sell Azyr at the same time?

I somehow expect it to be free, but they remove the points. Saying "we never talked about a warscroll builder having points, hahaha. Use Azyr if you want points! Or pay for premium."
