Things as ushabti, chariots and horsemen are old stuff and cost like crazy
Interesting business strategy by GW:
  • Remove old kits from the market.
  • Prices of the discontinued kits skyrocket in the secondary market
  • Re-release old kits at prices that are better than the inflated secondary market prices, but much more than what they could have sold them for if they had not discontinued them in the first place

The only question that remains is whether or not this will hurt TOW in the long run. I can see it going either way. I guess we'll see.

Bone Dragon 100 USD :hilarious:

£60 here, not that bad compared to a lot of other GW monster models, particularly a lot of the ones released for AoS which regularly reach £100.

At least it's a new model. Things as ushabti, chariots and horsemen are old stuff and cost like crazy

It's strange, because the Chariots and Skeletons are vastly overpriced at £47.50 (particularly the Chariots which didn't even get a double box to warrant the big price rise), yet you also have the occasional model like the 8th Edition Necrotect and Liche Priest sculpts selling at pretty much the same much cheaper character model price they were in the 8th era - a mere £9 (probably because you need less of them :meh:). The Horsemen are much more what I expected, a little over double price for a double box.

I'm certainly grateful that the nearest shop that I can call a FLGS gives really good discounts (around £10 on the box sets) for all this...

You're right, they are very similarly posed... tactical rock and all!
Indeed. I like the models, but each of the 3 main barbarians are "ready stance" with weight on one leg (or up on a rock), generally arms down and holding weapons, and is looking to the right (the female is a bit more straight ahead). I'm sure their sculpted digitally. Just flip a model. Lol.

Fair points. Can't argue with any of it. Overall, I still really like the kit though.

This is the best one by a long shot

Agreed, the others are just more generic barbarian-types as we have seen in Warcry warbands and so on, but this one is particularly unusual and can be used for all sorts of conversions - a Bray-Shaman, a Chaos Sorcerer, a Genestealer Magus, a Necromancer, the list goes on. Just add a bit of imagination and it can be pretty much any creepy character model you can think of.
