I doubt it. I don't know how anyone could consider Krieg shovel memes as comedy worthy of high standards. They are crude and emblematic only of how dumb the Imperial Guard are.

Like in (nearly) all regards, we'll have to agree to disagree.

Lol, forgot to post it here as well ;)

I wonder how the rest of the warband will be filled out.

Well, well, I never thought I would see the day that GW released a decent faction in Warcry, let alone plastic Chameleon Skinks. But then it certainly makes sense to include them in Warcry, as the reconnaissance unit of the Lizardmen.

There is the plastic chameleon skink in the Underworlds warband ;)

Yes but he was a one-off, whereas this warband surely must be a full unit of Chameleon Skinks?

The warbands commonly exist of two or three different type of fighters with a total of eight to ten models.
That will give a three to five chameleon skinks, does that fill a chameleon skink's unit requirement?

It would only do so if there were at least 5 Chameleon Skinks.

To be honest I can't see what other model types they could include in a warband for this sort of reconnaissance mission - Saurus would be too big and brawny, and normal Skinks still wouldn't be able to camouflage themselves (and would make an underwhelming warband given we already have a plastic box containing 24 of them).

I can only think that there must be some different variations of Chameleon Skink planned, with different weapons.

Personally, I doubt it will be a whole warband full of Chameleon Skinks, although that could be cool. I think I'm more in line with @Imrahil that it will be a mixed warband with 1-3 Chameleons max. That way if you like the models, you have to buy the kit multiple times to get a full unit of Chameleons. Likely Skinks to fill out the warband with a Skink leader of some kind. But I could see GW putting in Saurus too, maybe one as the leader instead.

A bit of "pie in the sky" dreaming: A Salamander with handler in the warband. A Kroxigor.

5 Chamies + 3 Kroxigors = 8 (lizard)men sized units. Or plastic Razor/Sallies if they wanted to give a full Skink hunting party.

No matter what, we getting plastic. I take that as an absolute win.

Remember we also have some scenery on the way.

That wouldn't be good at all, when we already have that with the Underworlds warband and what the Lizardmen community really needs is specifically plastic Chameleon Skinks. There would be no point at all in putting more plastic normal Skinks in that box when we have the big box of 24 of them. It would be a real waste of an opportunity (though GW are seasoned veterans at wasting opportunities).

Either of those would be better than more normal Skinks, though Kroxigors are taken in units of 3 so a single one wouldn't work in AoS where unit sizes are only counted by fixed numbers of models. It would be better for Fantasy, particularly if you were fielding a unit of Skrox with 1 Kroxigor, but still not ideal.

Kroxigors aren't man-sized though, they are Monstrous Infantry. It's very unlikely GW would give us 3 Monstrous Infantry alongside 5 Infantry in one box, that sounds too much like good value for money to be something GW would do ;).

A body that can be made into either a Razordon or a Salamander, plus some Skink Handlers, would be very nice, and if there were less than 5 Chameleon Skinks then it would fully warrant getting multiple boxes, so you can expand your Razordon/Salamander hunting packs and Chameleon Skink units at the same time.

I still think that rumour engine is the Saurus Battle Standard Bearer, we already have our army scenery piece. Unless you mean the scenery in the Warcry boxes, which is Lizardman-themed?

Now, as GW are going full Battlebox mode with Warcry as well :)meh:), let's see if we can work out what the next boxed games will feature:

It's likely the Lizardmen will feature in the first one, 'Sundered Fate', probably reflecting the crashed Lizardman temple-ship. As to who their enemies might be, that's a mystery. Perhaps something Tzeentchian given they also have an interest in manipulating fate, and given we haven't had much in the way of Tzeentch stuff in Warcry (only the Cypher Lords and perhaps the Corvus Cabal come close and they don't fully embody the Changer of Ways in the manner that the new Nurgle warband has devoted themselves entirely to the Plaguefather)?

Bloodhunt sounds like more Khorne, though it could be Beastmen perhaps, given they hunt prey on their Blood-Grounds, and as the Realm of Beasts, Ghur is where most Beastmen are going to be chilling/hunting/slaughtering innocents. Perhaps that's too intelligent reasoning for GW, but as a Beastman fan I can dream. There's not much clue as to their opponents though. Perhaps it'll be another all-Chaos one featuring Khorne vs Beastmen? That would certainly make for a bloody battle! Or perhaps Savage Orcs, given they've been given a plot device centring them on hunting the biggest beasts across the Realms now? It would be good to see them getting some attention after being left in the dust in favour of Ironjawz/Black Orcs and Kruleboyz for so long.

Nightmare Quest sounds like Nighthaunt will feature, probably fighting something like Stormcast or the in-development reinvention of Cities of Skubmar. A hard pass from me personally.

All of the warcry bands follow the same sort of structure in their boxes. You get two sets of 8-10 models

    1 Leader/Captain/Champion
    1-2 Heavy hitters
    0-4 Utility units
    4-6 standard units

There's some variations, but that's the basic structure

In the case of seraphon the chameleons could fit in both the "special" which would make a warband that isn't fully chameleon skink.

Best case scenario for ae a chameleon focused skink warband I'd expect would be a hunting party. Which would be something along the lines of:

    1 Skink chief/Priest
    1-2 razordon/salamander
    2 Skink handlers
    6 chameleons

Or alternativly a kroxigor instead of the razordon/salamander. Though either way it'd be a rather ranged focused warband, and I'm not sure if that'd fit into warcry very well.

This would be based on GW being reasonable and somewhat wishful thinking to be honest.

I rather think this will include Vampires, going by the Rumour Engines we have seen...

Nighthaunt already had its share of new models, i don't think ATM they are going to receive something new.
But hey, GW could have decided that after a fresh NH army for AoS, also Warcry needs new ghosts.
