Agreed here, more like GW in the old days of Fantasy when regiments priced at £20 were the norm.

 

I still maintain core troops should be $25-30 for regiment. Something people can pick up once a week

 

I say ALL infantry and cavalry should be priced at that amount, and only properly big things like monsters should be priced more, and those should be around £30-£40 at the most.

 

Specialist infantry I am comfortable at $35

Those days are long gone and shall never return. Luckily there is always Ebay, where you can often score even better deals.

 

The days have gone down in the west

 

I almost never buy anything new from GW. If I really need something, I get it at my FLGS at 15% off but the vast majority of the time it is off of Ebay.

 

I'll buy start collecting boxes at one of my locals.

I have a wierd dichotomy. Two stores within 30min of me. 1 offers 20% off, the other offers 10%.

The 10% is the better store. Cleaner, better layout, nice staff.

But 10% off is essentially paying for tax and not a real discount. So I'm dumbfounded on what to do.

 

Do you play at either of them?

 

The 10% one, when I do play. I also buy paint and mantic minis there

 

I'd probably support that one then. The last thing you want is for that store to go belly up. Support where you play!
