8th Ed. Has anyone versed orcs and goblins without a slaan

O&G are pretty tough at lower levels because they have such cheap spell casters. Heroes and lords are very cheap and they can spam them quite effectively. Even if they go with an all orc army, it still will be tough.
 
Well what sort of army list are you taking ans are there any O&G units in peticular you are having problems with?
 
Yes Old Blood, Cold One, Blade of Realities killed Giant Spider turn 1, that is about all I remember from that game.

I can also tell you swarms are awesome for pulling out Fanatics.
 
well his giants easy i just throw my jungle swarms at him and hes down pretty quick, but he's got 4 units of 25 night goblins in each with full command and a fanatic in each, i try to triger the fanatic at the furthest range possible but the absolutely DESTROY my stegadon, what unit out of< cold oness, suarus and skinks would be best for the goblins and then what for his 16 black orcs?????
 
Salamanders are your friends. Toast some goblins and panic will take care of the rest.

Actually, the NG can be extremely resilient if they have nets. The nets reduce your S by 1 so even saurus are wounding them on a 4+. Toss in getting hit by multiple blocks and even without the fanatics they can nerf your troops in short order. However, as Syltaryn indicated, a couple sallie templates will do wonders and if they are not within 12" of the general they are likely to run away.
 
good point i'll try to bring them i little away from the general and make them run, hehehe, also what am i gonna do about those pesky black orcs??

also i just bought a slann so now im pretty safe (with 2 skink preist to help), my magics good

and what should i buy, i carnosaur, temple guard or a battalion????
