I got a good deal on a metal slann starmaster, but it's missing the top bit of the throne. My first thought was the bit for the top of the OBoCarno throne as a replacement, but I figured you guys may have a better idea.

Current kits I have to find bits from are Carnosaur/Stegadon/Bastilladon/Saurus Guard/Warrios/Knights. That being said, I don't want to take an important bit from a kit at the detriment of that kit.

Anyway, what do you guys think about my choice, and can you think of a better one?

Also how do you guys support a metal starmaster? It's pretty heavy I don't think an acrylic rod will work...

No clue about the rod, but the shape of the throne looks good.

I have a metal starmaster and the rod does the job perfectly. It is 10 years old already, and still standing.

Throne looks good, the acrylic rods work just make sure you glue it well with a strong glue, 2 pack epoxy (araldite rapid) as the throne is metal.

Mine is metal as well and sits just fine on the acrylic rod. Just do like Crowsfoot says though.

I like the top "banner" you have going there. It looks natural to the piece!

I like the top you added. Makes yours unique.

For the acrylic rod, if it worries you, they make acrylic rods as replacements for window blind control handles. They cost $2 or so. Much thicker. Any height you’d like, just cut to length.

For storage, I like the idea of using magnets under the palanquin so that it could be stored detached from the base/flight stand.

Agreed, it looks like it came with the model!
