Don't bother with plastic glue on metals. It only works because it literally melts the plastic on both halves and essentially cold welds things together, but it cannot melt metal.
I put a small amount of greenstuff under one foot for stability and just used a bunch of super glue, no pins neccesary. See if you can balance it against something to help it stay while the glue dries. Also make sure the bottom of the feet are as flat as you can make them. File them down a bit so there is a nice flat surface to adhere to.
Finally, if you are having trouble with super glue drying slowly, moisture accelerates the process. Don't use too much or it weakens the bond and makes it thicker. I find hold the piece close to my mouth and blowing on it adds enough humidity from my breath to help, just make sure you never breath in too close to the glue because it is toxic.
