8th Ed. Helping a new lizardmen player

I just started with the fansty I have been play warhammer 40,000 for years I bought the Lizardmen starter box and one box of sugars warriors I also have a slan and about 20 sinks I am looking to buy some more to out fit my army and am not sure if I should get more cold ones temple guard or some salamanders any help is appear ited sporty if I posted this in the wrong place

I would build and paint what you have as the rumour is lizards are getting a new book soon (august/October) and no one knows what's getting better and what's getting worse.

If you looking to get alot of games in before then i'd advise you to pick salamanders out of the three choises you made. also core can never go wrong. and maybe krox? if those are your taste.. mixing them up with skinks to make skrox units is an axelent couter to elite units with low amaunts of attacks.

Always need kroxigors! And even if the salamander gets nerfed, theyll still most probably kick ass still so theyre a good shout

can never go wrong with more skinks. Battalion only comes with 12 and thats barely enough to make 1 unit. at least get another box of them. or you can get a bunch of skink bowman on ebay dirt cheat. Proxy for the win.

yeah skinks are probably the best value for money (gw price wise) where other armies get 16 models for £20.50 skinks come with 24 for the same price
