8th Ed. hero unit questions

lets say i have..

slann, two scar vets on cold one

could i make say unit in combat going like

SC SC
SLANN

so the slann is in the 'second rand', keeping my scar vets stubborn with is crown of command, while the scars benefit from his regen and life buffs?


or am i just a mean bastard and i will see the opposite side of the medal? XD

I guess so, no where says you can't have a two model wide unit, tho this does creep towards conga line tactics and any flanking, or if a scar vet gets killed , the slann will be able to be hit


On a similar note I have run
2 SV, 25 saurus and a slann,
Go five or six wide and the slann can fit in the first rank so goes in the second, kind of a cheap temple guard unit if the slann has the crown of command

my slann is ALWAYS ethereal so but having scar vets with toughness 9 + regen and a 1+save makes them VERY hard to kill mhh might try this conga line
