I'm just starting to play AoS. In my view if you're a new player you don't choose the army of dinosaurs riding even bigger dinosaurs you have lost touch with your inner child and you might be a chaos daemon.

Thanks to Crowsfoot for a great advice on building an army. I can't wait to get started and I'll share pictures of my first attempts at painting miniatures soon.

In the meantime, I've got lots of reading to do about how to build my army of skinks and dinos and this ability Slann have to materialize units wherever they want. It sounds like daemon stopping fun!

I'm happy to hear any advice about army building or AoS in general

...also if anyone here happens to live in Eastern Ontario and wants to play, let me know!

I used to play Lizardmen - as they were called then - about 20 years ago, give or take a year or two. So, my inner child is just happy that I am back at it again! :)

You prooobably couldn't have afforded them anyway.
Besides, depending on how old you are, they might have looked VERY different when you were 10, or not even existed. :D
 
Welcome aboard, I started back in the mid eighties when GW models were made of metal and had a metal base, left the hobby for 20+ years but back now and my Lizardmen are happy
