Hi, my name is Nick Kotenberg. I'm 27, married, and have a 2yr old. Currently, I just purchased and received for Christmas about 2500pts and am deciding on a color scheme I really like . Lizardmen is about the only army I haven't played or painted. I just completed Uriel Ventris' Ultramarines 4th Company a few months ago and am looking forward to painting a more complex and diverse army. I am a local truck driver and don't have a lot of time during the day to paint. It is 11:25pm on Sunday night and I am about to leave for work . This weekend, I painted 4 or so different ideas that I like and will post them soon to see what you guys think. Feel free to pm me with any questions.

Welcome to Lizardmen! I'm a huge fan of creating a unique colour scheme for your army. My lizardmen are purple (as seen in my profile pic) and really easy to do. White base coat x2, purple wash x2 then detailing to suit. Finally a black wash over everything except clothing/weapons to dirty them up.

But you could easily do that with any of the washes and create a great looking (and relatively fast) paint scheme for your army. You really can't go wrong with these guys though, every paint scheme I've seen works.

Thx for your idea. I'm going to use that idea for my javlin skinks. I just finished 20 blowpipe skinks. These I painted space wolves grey with green wash and it gave them a nice swampy look. The purple idea sounds promising and I cant wait to try it out.

these are my Javelin Skinks - used as a paint test for the rest of my army. I've since shielded and based them, haven't taken a new pic yet though.
