Tutorial High Saurian

Here's a nugget buried among the other nuggets in the Lustriapedia.

Kota is pretty easy to say. Next I'd recommend some abbreviation. It's like the equivalent of Bartholomew versus Bart. In the real world, even a lot of "full" names are abbreviations of ancient names or phrases no longer in common use.

Kotoloq. Olkata. Olokat. These are all exotic looking words but fairly intuitive on pronouncing them.

Didn't thought about Lustriapedia. I'll look into it now for my names.
I'm working for others right now, so I'll do more work research before stating a name.

For my salamander, I think that Kota'oloq is nice. Thanks for the help :D

So, I came up with 2 more names :
  • Bastiladon : Choloqraz -> choloq, Sun fierce/Fire of the sun, raz, carry = carrier of the fire of the sun
  • Slann : Itzachositl -> Itza, first, chosi, light of protection = first light of protection
What do you think ?

Both are fine names. In my fluff I have a bias towards giving Slann longer more difficult to pronounce names and giving beasts relatively simple names. Skinks and Saurus get to fall in the middle. That's not a rule though, just a preference. Since Itza is also the name of the Lizardmen's first and most important city I imagine a Slann with Itza in his name would be a bit more conservative and/or pompous than an average Slann.

I choose Itza for my slann, because at the moment, he is my only slann, and so he is my first slann :)

Hey I’ve been busy lately so I don’t have much time. But can someone tell me how to say A. The Eternal Emperor and B. The Ancient One in saurian

So this has been an amazing resource for coming up with names and dropping the occational word in to flavour up a story. I gotta ask though, where did the dictionary part of this come from? It would be good if it was possible to expand it out a it. I've been compiling my own dictionary made up of this and the one GW supplied. It'd be great to figure out how it can be developed further

This looks like a good material to feed some AI in order to “saurify” texts.

Cua'atzaq maz-itzatenx!

If I’m not mistaken, you may use these:

  1. The Eternal Emperor: Kroq-Gar-Maz (Eternal Leader-Shaper)
  2. The Ancient One: Kha'kai'khanx (Revered Ancient Being)
