8th Ed. How Many Attacks

If I wanted to run a horde style skrox unit, how many attacks would the skinks in this unit get?

The 4 kroxigar in the middle... would they count as both the 2nd and 3rd rank even though they are one model? Meaning the skinks get no supporting attacks for the second rank (except the 2 on the side) and no extra attacks for horde (except the 2 on the side)? Or, would the kroxigar count as the second rank, then the back rank of skinks would be the third rank and would get their supporting attacks?

Since it is technically a unit of skinks teh ranks are determined by their base size. So the the kroxigor take up the second and third rank. So only the unit on the side that are in the second and third rank would get to attack.

Well if that were a legal kroxigor unit the the skinks would get 14 attacks. But to take 4 kroxigor you would need at least 32 skinks. You need 8 skinks for every kroxigor you want to take.
