you wouldnt actually need the crown of command. as long as you have at least 5 models standing you have 1 rank. the steam tank has 0, and thus you will be steadfast even without the crown.

    Really? toughness 10
Sweet muther now I am concerned.

Even mind razor'd saurus are gonna need 6's to wound, Although they crush the save at least then.

I think avoid approach seems plenty good for now if you arent rocking the right lore.

PS Lore of Metal is way to risky for a tourney in my opinion,
This last weekend I played, Wood Elves, High Elves, Night Goblins, O&G, Daemons
Lore of metal would be nigh useless

The Empire FAQ changes the toughness to 10.

lore of metal would be fantastic even against the above mentioned armies if it weren't for one thing: glittering robes do not work on sauruses, who already have scaly skin. other than that it i is a great lore. the who missiles are just icing on the cake to take down scary stuff like a steam tank or a pendant dreadlord. the goodies in the lore is the enchanted blades, the glittering robe (if it worked for us :() and final transmutation should not be underestimated either. i agree that life is probably a better lore overall, but if glittering robes worked, i would seriously consider it just because it lets you solve a whole bunch of really tricky problems like the two mentioned above.
