How would you model and Oldblood on a Flying Carpet?

Nah, he'd never back me up. He keeps snubbing me, logging off every time I log on.
That's funny, I think I've heard Scolenex say the same thing about you.

He's very shy with the like button only liking panda-related posts.
Hahaha...:joyful::joyful::joyful::joyful:

I'll put it to the test for you... PANDAS ARE THE MOST AMAZING CREATURES IN THE UNIVERSE!!!

Is there scope to use the Ark of Sotek bits from the Bastiladon set?
I don't own that kit myself, but it seems like a piece of Lizardmen kit that most people choose not to use when they build the model...

Although I do like both the winged model and the Luminark idea very much.

Maybe some sort of feathered cermonial garb, cape, headdress or similar accessory? They could represent feathers imbued with magic that gives the wearer the ability to fly.
There was a Skink with a feather-cloak that could fly....at one time....is that gone from the latest codex?
Anyway, a thoroughly conventional notion would be a bigger, better, Saurus Sized version of that.

Some type of circular stone dias which carried the Oldblood into battle.
I have about a quarter-ton of rocks in a rock garden near me that would fit the bill. Round flattish stones (that are actually made of, well stone) that can be had in diametres like 25, 30, 40mm. Cf: Mexican Beach Pebbles - the usual color is grey, but you could always paint it fancier. Or a rock-shop might have a suitable polished piece of green malachite.

yep we still have the (skink only) feathered cape.

oh if you could dremmel some glyphs into a soft rock,
that would be pretty sweet.

A guy at my local store told me that he's modelled an oldblood (from the carnosaur kit) on Tetto's palanquin, for his flying carpet. It works cus he's sorta crouching on it.

Personally, i'd try to make it an actual carpet, but have no idea how you'd manage that!

you could use a dollhouse/model railroad carpet.. rug ...o_O

Edit: ohh or you could print one of these out and glue them to cardstock

I think that would look awesome. I'm not sure how easy it would be to accomplish, but if successful, it would be stunning!

That is my favourite solution... a palanquin/disc of some sort. An ancient artifact of the old ones.

Oddly this reminded me of Timesplitter 2:

Edit I'd love an oldblood with a bat haha. Up for giving a proper beating.

Didn't someone on our forum actually kinda do that with our CoRs? Can't remember his name, but he's the master of painting scales with some sick painting skills. :D

Dragon wings? kinda obvious? Why have Lizardmen no dragons? Dragon = Big Lizard with wings and fire breathing.

I think you meant @neveroddoreven. Maybe this:

Feathered skink

Or this:

Fancy Oldblood

Haven't seen him around lately. Hopefully he's busy with comission work.

Oh, but back to topic. I would either use a disk-like device, like the Empire thingie, or just add feathers and maybe model "magical energies" under him to slightly elevate him.

@NIGHTBRINGER: Check out my blog, he painted a Gor-Rok for me as a sample piece. It's noice.
You weren't lying... the Gor-Rok paint job turned out really well. The shield is exquisite; I wish I could create a "marble" effect like that. I wouldn't even know where to begin.
