8th Ed. I might be starting, but need some opinions...

I managed to sell quite a decent amount of figures from some other games, so I was thinking of taking that money and investing it into a Lizardman army. A friend is selling this:
1 Slann
2 Saurus Heros (1 BSB)
2 Skink Mage
4 x 10 Skink warriors
2x 20 Saurus warriors (with standard and musician)
6x Terradons
2 lizard swarms
2 x 4 Kroxigors
6x Salamanders unit

Although I'm sure its probably worth it (over $1,100 fully painted, I haven't done the math how much its all worth brand new though), my question is, does this give me a good collection, or is it missing massive gaping holes?

I don't play Fantasy much (my last game was over a year ago) so I hope you guys could please chip in on your thoughts.

I would say that's a very solid core, if not a complete list that you would be very happy with. It has all the necessary ingredients (solid Saurus blocks, lots of Skink skirmishers, Ssalamanders), plus enough extras for you to play around with until you reach your own preferred balance (Scar-Veteran, Skink Priests, Kroxigor, Terradons).
