Although rivendell is an elvish town (effectively) and Elrond was a vassal to Gil-Galad, the majority of the elves from the last alliance forces were from Gil-Galad (High king of the Noldor)'s main realms of Lindon and the Havens of Sirion.
Aha, Gil-galad is part of the Rivendell forces acording to the army book of the MESBG. I think that they did this to not have too many elve 'families' in the game. I like the history of Middle Earth, but have got a lot to reading up to do. Grrr, Imrahil
Looks good! And it's red... so it will go faster! (not sure if that is transferable from 40k though! )
New update on the Gor-Grunta: Washes down, highlights and battle weathering let to do. Oh and basing. Grrr, Imrahil
Lookin gooood, great work on the even coating. Can't see any brush marks, and the red panels look like they were sprayed in an auto shop as they're that smooth. Looking forward to the end result.
Looks awesome! I'm particularly impressed with how you picked out the little details on the skulls hanging off his belt...
Thanks mate, I really try to lift up the details. What is not to say that I didn't mess up a few times, but with some correcting they show up very nicely. Grrr, Imrahil
Little update: All highlights and battle wear are done. Only the base to paint and decorate. Note that the arms with weapon are interchangeable, not even by use of magnets but pure how the kit was made. Grrr, Imrahil
Thanks guys, I will likely finish this one before the end of the month, as is my goal. Then for mext month I will follow-up with the next Gor-Grunta and after that the last one to round up the unit of three. Grrr, Imrahil
Today I finished 3 Warriots of Rivendell: one regular, one with bow and one with banner. Better pictures will follow Grrr, Imrahil
