I really, really like this one, I find it inspiring! I struggle to find a colour scheme that I actually like when It come to Trogs. Great job so far

 

I'm more surprised with how @Imrahil was able to get orange to be opaque over dark green.

Wow, thanks for your reactions guys I really wasn't sure, but I will continue with it

@Lord-Marcus It is Jokaero Orange in quite a thick layer. I find Jokaero is a great base layer for orange, for it is a more dull Orange and thus more opaque.

A while ago I had a follow-up game of battle companies with my son. The scenario was: Tame the Beast. A single Cave Troll in the middle of the table (always charging the closesed model) and our companies closing in from two sides.
It seemed to be a fun scenario, but to the marksman skills of the Rivendell archers the Troll was killed rather quick... I think we juat made it to turn three and no close combat was held yet

Needless to say my son won (once again)

Second to last weekend I played another game of battle companies with my son. Scenario: Recovery
(Find the missing Relic and transport it to your opponent's board edge)

The search was on and it took a while to find it. Interesting combat ensued.
In the end just two models fought it out in a stairdown. Starting each turn eith a courage test to stay and fight. My army fled first. The remaining Elf on the table had to keep testing every turn untill he reached the edge, which he did not reach (by 8 inches )

So this time it ended in a draw.



The aftermath have shaken up things a bit. My son lost a Numenorian warrior and a Elven hero. He also gained a Numenorian warrior with spear.
I lost a warrior with spear and gained a Morgul Stalker. Also two warriors got an upgrade.

I have some converting and painting to do before we can play our next match.
