Thank you. I never heard of that term before.
It is pretty typical for the architecture of the men of Gondor and Numenor (their ancestors).
It also appears on the structure on Amon Hen (at the end of the first film ;))

My secret project is done :) :)

now I can finally share it with you all.
At the start of the project (28 September) I had a general idea about what I wanted to do: Build a ziggurat for my Seraphon forces. But just one piece of scenery wouldn't do. The goal was to make it modular to serve in more situations as scenery.

Here are the first images I had for the design:

    Pyramide 1st way.PNG Pyramide 2nd way.PNG

This was a for a consideration on appearance.
In the end I went with the second option, the wooden beams concealed the points of contact between the sheets of foam.
Furthermore I wanted all the layers of the ziggurat to be separate so the scenery could be fit for my need. besides that there need to be stairs and what is better than making them modular as well ;)

This led to the first steps of crafting the shapes out of foam:
    (Gandalf for scale :) )

    20210916_133705.jpg 20210916_133733.jpg 20210916_133637.jpg

Now that the shapes are forming it is time for texturing and finding a paintsceme:

    20210928_113357.jpg 20211002_083345.jpg

At this stage I wanted to add to it with something more decorative, but not over the top. Out of it came a little archway (this time with a Starpriest for scale)

    20211005_184605.jpg 20211007_183314.jpg

The set-up in the last picture is playable as Realmshape Engine as the base size is close to 16x16 cm and it has a total height of about 15 cm.

While getting progress in I played around with setups to see how they would like

    20211007_183610.jpg 20211007_183523.jpg 20211007_183451.jpg 20211007_183636.jpg
In doing so I accidently found out that the stairs in an upright position exactly reached the top of the archways :)

I ended up with the following:

    20211116_233145.jpg 20211116_232635.jpg 20211116_232657.jpg 20211116_232726.jpg 20211116_232805.jpg 20211116_232938.jpg 20211116_232222.jpg 20211116_232134.jpg 20211116_233019.jpg

Because the platforms are build out of foam sheets of just 4mm thick the inside is hollow. This makes for easy storage:

    Excellent work!!!! :artist:

I love how modular you have made your terrain. I did the same thing with my jungle terrain collection, but I am so happy you went a full step further and figured out a way to allow them to easily store together! I wish I had thought of that! :wacky:

    Well done :vulcan:

@Imrahil, that is an awesome set of terrain! It's totally built by hand from foam, is painted just lovely... AND it packs up neatly. I'm still geeking out about this. Bravo!

Thanks. this choice was made for playability inside. It still will have to prove to be convenient , but that's after it is painted.

For all my foam builds I use Floor lining insulation panels from Ikea. It is described as Polystyrene plastic.

Some new stuff, not quite scenery, but more gameplay related.

Heroes in MESBG have a number of wounds just like in Warhammer but they also have Might, Will and Fate points to infleunce actions, dice rolls, cast and resist magic and sort of an aftersave. To keep track of those you can use pen and paper, which means a lot of writing and erasing.
Therefor I want to keep track with dice in an orderly fashion. That's why I designed these:

    20211125_105749.jpg 20211125_105908.jpg 20211125_110040.jpg

Work in progress, but I like how they shape up
