I'd say the 11 Chamo skinks would be worse (assuming that you were facing all 11 at one time). With one predator you could always win via one (very) lucky shot. With that many Chamo skinks, one of those darts is sure to get you. That said, if you had sufficient body armour, to the point where the poison darts could not penetrate, then the single predator would be far worse. Morale of the story... it depends on the context!

I’ve been hanging onto this open for a month or so but haven’t been able to post it for this sake of the anonymity of the recent Short Story Comp. When writing my piece, ‘Letters of the Sea’, I had a very clear image in my head and a visual I wanted to communicate. I used some new techniques which I haven’t really had time to explore given the extreme business of my last year of high school, so getting this done so quickly, thanks to an inspirational and motivational high, was really satisfying.

For context, please check out the story Comp (linked above) and my analysis/explanation for my entry this time around.

Got a couple of things I wanted to put up that aren’t tooooo Lustria related but oh well it’s art.

I decided to draw a couple of my favourite book characters, so here is Aelin Galathynius from the Throne it Glass series:

And here is Lisbeth Salander from The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo:

I’ll finish off a couple more wip and throw them up here as well. I should really try to get cracking on a Susan Sto Helit picture (from Terry Pratchett’s Discworld series) so I’ll try to get that down within the decade.

Technically yes...? It’s sort of like a gritty horrible “realistic” take on superheroes where they work for people and they’re all corrupt etc etc. (just a warning that it is quite gory and violent...) but very good!

Those Images look great, I really like the object source lighting on the last one.
