Infrequent Lizardmen WIPs

Amazing! Loving how you are painting that scar-vet. Great color choices :artist:

I used temple guard arms and a custom club (inspired by someone's Mazdamundi on this forum: I cannot remember who though) to make this guy look beefier. His ornamentation has no feathers, but he does carry a fetish charm that makes me think of Tepok. I'm also altering his Cold-One's headress to carry along the same theme of "bulky, no feathers".

I also built the retinue for the first Scar-Veteran, 5 Saurus Knights with spears. I've consciously held back on the bling to help the heros stand out more, I'll get some photos up when I've painted them. I should also crack on with the first Scar-Vet....... No matter how much fun further kitbashing would be.

This guy is the leader for my normal Saurus warriors. I really like the style of the kit, but the age does let it down. In particular there are only two left arms in the entire plastic Saurus range that don't have a 90° elbow bend. I've been pretty liberal therefore with my scalpel to get the shoulder to work as I want. The armour helps cover it up nicely, and I probably won't revisit it, though I should at least smooth it down.
I have also completed around 90% of the cold one riders: some few details still need to be sorted out. I also need to make a start on the cold ones themselves, which I'm not especially looking forward to.

The scales are going to get a coat of Tamiya clear yellow to match them to the Scar-Vet, but I need to varnish them first. I start a new job soon unfortunately, so updates might become less and less. Not that they were frequent to begin with.
