So coming this June we have a 2 day club challenge. It usually is a big event with like 65 players. This year they have decided to let us choose monsters from the Storm of Magic book and pic them as a rare unit or units. The points are 2800 points this year. I was playing with the idea of running a level 3 or 4 Zoat with either a slann or without. It would be nasty to run a Zoat with life and run the slan with light. Could be pretty nasty.

With so many monsters being around you need to consider monster killing ability too...
Blowpipe skinks with multiple poisoned darts are normally good against monsters, but also consider that a couple of the SoM monsters have enhanced stomp ability, where they can thunderstomp monsters that don't also have enhanced thunderstomp.
