- Sotek Green
- Wash Nuln Oil
- Sotek Green Again
- Edge highlight with Temple Guard Blue
- Edge again with Baharroth Blue

The Scales:

- Stegadon Scale Green
- Wash Nuln (I do this all over the model at the same time)
- Stegadon Scale again to paint every scale completely
- Edge highlight with Thunderhawk Blue
- Dot in each corner of each scale with Baharroth Blue
- Glaze all over the scales with Guilliman Blue

Thanks so much! Also oof that's a lot of paints I don't own. When you say "paint each scale completely" do you mean you painted each scale individually avoiding the recesses?

Yes exactly, cover the top of each scale completely leaving the nuln oil into the recesses, don't leave the nuln oil in the middle of each scale.

Also yeah, they are a lot of paints bit I do own all.of the Citadel range so I tend to be a bit spoiled with that. I hate mixing

That depends. For showcase models I use AK Interactive Ultra Matte varnish applied with a brush avoiding metallics. That is the flattest most amazing matt varnish ever made.

For armies I use Munitorium Varnish from Citadel. It's a spray, best spray varnish in the world for me. All my Lizardmen were sprayed with it, excellent.

Don't be afraid to ask, as much as you want.

I was wondering, now that the glazes are discontinued, any idea what you'd use for an alternative to Lamenters Yellow? I don't own it and I can't get hold of a pot unfortunately.

Thinned down nazdreg yellow might do the trick.
Or perhaps the yellow Vallejo ink.

I feel nostalgic today, yesterday I painted another skink for the channel, it was like returning home from a long trip.

I forgot how much I love painting lizardmen, now I miss them even more.

Mmmmhhhh... perhaps I have to make some red crested Skinks as well, they look so cool.

All of mine have white so far.
 
This is actually perfect timing, I will soon be getting some skinks and I can use your excellent model as a reference guide! The color and detail on it looks awesome, and if you had fun I say you do more

This works great for skin:


The red I use for the crests is this, but changing the Cadian for Fire Dragon Bright
