If I am ever in charge of a similar contest I will define the deadline as Noon. Noon is firmly buried within a specific calendar day. Of course if it is noon someplace it is midnite in a timezone twelve hours away.

It is just possible that Scalenex means that the deadline is Noon, February 3rd, on the island of Diego Garcia, in the Indian Ocean.
