Contest January-February 2021 Short Story Contest Entry Thread, (Entries close on February 2nd))

Sounds like a pretty interesting theme that gives you a lot of freedom... Not sure if I want to chance entering with a short story of my own... Although I often do struggle to get a plot into a small enough 'story' without going over the top and writing pages and pages.

You of all people ABSOLUTELY should enter the contest. You are an excellent writer. (Anyone who wonders why I'm saying this should look at his posts for "Ohmen" the shapshifter in the Pathfinder-ish RPG thread)

Been sidetracked with writing rules for custom Companies for In Her Majesty’s Name, working out how Mierce Darklands miniatures could be used in a ruleset less ridiculously complicated than their own ruleset and doing Christmas-oriented stuff, but I’ve got a month to finish what I’ve started, I’ll finish it... promise...
 
Still writing mine, but I haven't made much progress recently due to having so little time to do everything... :argh:
 
While I did announce the contest very early, I asked people to focus on getting some poems written, and you guys stepped up.

Now it's time for you all to step up and make time to write. I haven't gotten any drafts sent to me yet. That is slightly unusual.

I am now 3/4 way through my short story draft 1. I'll then go through it again to make sure it communicates what I want and then submit. Shouldn't be a problem for end of Jan.
 
have a start of a story written down, I know what I want to incorporate in the story, but need to find the right way of weaving it in ;)
