Working on stegadons base, not much to look at... Somebody know a better material to work with than my "hardpaperwoodthing" for my stones?

Cork. It's perfect for the job, flexible, cheap and can be cut to have sharp edges or teared apart to get a nice rocky texture. It is also easily glued with PVA although a hot glue gun would attach it faster.
Where did you get that skull for the base, it looks like from one of those GW's basing kits, but I don't know which.

Cork is great to work with and gives great results. Great faces on the Choas characters too.

You can find cork of different thicknesses in any building store, as it is used as sealant sometimes or as "filler" between other two materials for its rubbery feel. That means that it's super cheap, and maybe you can get 1 meter squared for maybe 2~3€

Looks good! I really like the horns on the side of the castle, where did you get them from? Did you glue the castle to the stegadon before painting?

the horns is from the same kit, instead of gluing them on the engine of gods i glued them at the sides.
No i have not yet glued the "castle" on the steg;-) big parts, feel its better to paint them seperatly

Looks really nice, I specially like the red markings and paintings on the engine of the gods (the side heads look like having lips stick ;))
I also like the fact that you put some skinks on the base of the stegadon.
Just to tell you, your sinks are missing the pupils :p

Thanks! Yeah i had a hard time figuring out how to do with the "engine" and didnt want to make it just gold... Lipstick is just awesome;-) i dont know if i want to do the pupils, they look more alien without and i want them kind of alienish:p
And i havent glued the skinks on yet so they are not actually standing on the base ^^ will give it a thought if you think that is cool;-)
