Tsk tsk tsk... so quick to judge are we? Hangry is a slang term, which in this case was used perfectly within the context of the meme:
I remember this one. So good to have her taken down a notch. Her original comment is SO unnecessary. I love his laugh at the end.
Agreed! His retort was perfect; playful and fun, while still putting her in her place. You could literally see her soul shrivel up and die.
You will forgive me if i don’t know a slang term of a foreign language. ...as if it would be so uncommon to have memes with grammar mistakes.
You are both right, hangry is a fairly common American slang terms. Memes with spelling airs errors are really annoying. I generally try not to "like" them even if I like them. My stock of memes I've made for L-O, I've went back to square one to change a small spelling error or because I didn't like the font. In a some cases I have made three versions of the same meme to correct nitpicky because that's how I roll.
Risky territory commenting on grammar then. I couldn't help myself, if you call out grammar, you best ensure that you hit the mark! (although I wasn't the one who created this meme). If in doubt, Google first! To be fair, your English is so good that if I didn't know any better, I would never pick up on it being a second language for you. Memes in my opinion have very relaxed rules when it comes to grammar. Punctuation is not typically used and slang (or even slang-like spellings) are often more appropriate than their "proper" equivalents. Excessive spelling errors can ruin a meme. There have been a few memes that I've chosen not to share one because of them. Often times though, I'll share it anyways if the meme is good enough and if is easy enough to understand what is being conveyed. Different strokes for different folks!
