In my opinion. Movie Aragorn did not lead Movie Eowyn on. Practically their first meeting she asked him questions about the woman who gave him his bling. If anything Movie Eowyn was the one who wouldn't let it go. All things considered, this was played up because modern Hollywood likes love triangles and modern Hollywood (even pre-woke modern Hollywood) tries to avoid sausagefest movies and wants to shoehorn female characters in a little bit so they expanded her role a bit. Besides, Aragon was strong, handsome, a natural leader, and a high born royal. And women are often attracted to what they cannot have. So Eowyn not immediately giving up on him was realistic, even if it wasn't very heroic. That said, I think the movie did her original character justice on the whole. She fought bravely for her family and homeland and along with Merry killed the Witch King in both the book and movie. If there was a character that the movie treated unfairly, it was Movie Denethor. The scene where he is stuffing his face while he is sending his son on a suicide mission was pretty bad. Book Denethor was not a saint, but he was not a villain either. He was pessimistic but he still defended Gondor to the best of his ability.
