I've been there for years. I try to go to bed a half hour after my wife so she'll be asleep. Usually she has been zombie rolling on her phone so is wide awake. I walk in, kiss her goodnight and three, two...zzzzz. She told me it's not fair. I'm dumb enough to have quoted studies about less screen time aids in ease of sleep. Let's just say I slept with one eye open for a few weeks
...well, I have to admit I've seen worse ways to 'penny a fuse' than this... not MUCH, but I have seen worse...
As I was reading your response, this is what I was going to suggest as well. Most phones have a nighttime setting that reduces the blue light emitted from the screen (blue light is the one that disrupts sleepiness). Not as good as reducing screentime, but it might be worth a shot.
Thanks I'm not sure what further progress I can make with her. It was a fight, but it was a fight I won, to not have a computer or TV in the bedroom. I try to limit the electronics in any area I sleep. The phones are still in here but I knewbinwouldnt win that fight. I understand if my room was my only space, such as when I was a teenager, but if you have options why not take the one that helps you sleep?
