Lately someone said to me that if you ignore the Lore parts it is a decent show to watch. So I might watch it some time, who knows.

Assuming this is true, why not launch a new fantasy story without the Lord of the Rings label on it.

In the last fifteen years, we've had very few movies or television shows that aren't a remake, or a sequel or a prequel or spinoff.

This is what I'd like to see. I want to see studios take more chances with new stuff.

I very much agree with you!

People and studios seem to be scared to start from scratch and like to lean on an already established fanbase, with the risk off pissing off most of them.

I would often pack the dishwasher only to forget to turn it on.
Then my wife and I watched an FBI files where the the bank robbers were caught because they had meticulously cleaned their hideout but forgot to turn on the dishwasher and so the FBI were able to trace them from fingerprints on the dirty crockery.
After that I would often get a text or phone call from the wife saying the FBI are after you.
Doh! Forgot to put the dishwasher on again.
