In the army book fluff i saw there was a dwarven stronghold (i forget the name) in the southlands. Would the lizzies attack the dwarves or ally with them and even help them fight off the skaven? I kinda want to give some of my lizard heros like dwarf weapons and have my armies fluff be that they allied with the dwarves and the weapons are gifts

When the Dwarfs get a look at all that Lustrian gold, do you really think they will be able to restrain themselves? I think the Dwarfs and Lizardmen would ally, but it would be a very strained relationship. The Dwarfs are incredibly stubborn, materialistic, prejudiced even...whereas the Lizards tend to be very obscure in their motives (Dwarfs would never be patient enough to understand) and also look down their noses at the "lesser races".

I could see the dwarves kind of using the lizards in a sense of like the skinks would be rooting around in the lower tunnels hunting skaven and having like a lizardmen spot in the city that the dwarves could consent to. It could also be why they dont talk to the other dwarves either be like they dont have many citizens left so they accepted the lizards for protection and dont want that shame or he lizzies pay in gold to stay there and well dwarves dont like to share lol

The link says that the southlands are safe? I dont really see how that can be since their are few lizardmen to inhabit them. No feral orcs? No plague skaven from their flight of lustria? I find that difficult to believe. And with the contact thing i could see them fighting at 1st like they did with the elves when they destroyed the warhost in lustria. Since the slann in the southlands arent as old and have luttle contact with lustria itself so having powerful allies with a huge fortress
