Kroot Hounds as Salamanders?

like many... I'm not the biggest fan of the current Salamander models, and am looking into maybe using Flesh Hounds or Kroot Hounds. I was wondering if anyone had a visual example of a Kroot Hound on a 40mm base. I know they won't fill it out all that great... but I was just curious how 'sparse' they'll look on it.

also... would you see this as cheesy if you were playing against it? (ie, a somewhat smaller target.)

The models for the flesh hounds would work. They have scales and the crests on them are suitably salamader-esque.

Kroot Hounds may be a bit small. Although you could fill out the base with interesting small features like ruined temple floor or a swamp like terrain.

I would have no problem if you were gaming against me if it were on the correct base size. I would most likely be jealous that I hadn't thought of it.

OK, now that I said it, I can't find it anywhere...
I was thinking...
Chaos Flesh Hounds as salamaders, and Kroot hounds as razordons ?

oh yes.. if I included Razordons these would be my go-to choices. (not sure if I ever will though... and I just like the Kroot Hounds more.)
