Don't tell that to Christopher Nolan
Quick, check if the spinning top is still spinning...
if you give him enough ideas eventually something he puts out should be interesting
I haven't seen his last one
I think I'll watch it just to see what I think of it. I saw the trailer and I think it could go either way (for my own personal viewpoint)
Tau being destroyed in shooting and in close combat? Interesting.
Well, Necrons do also have a lot of missile weapons so can rival Tau at range, and some decent close combat units (though pretty much any other army in the game can destroy Tau in close combat ).
Yeah. I've not played 40K in about 20-25 years to be honest, but I keep hearing over and over about how Tau are OP in ballistics. I surmise that's why you have the little wink to Lizerd at the end.
Maybe someday I'll start playing again when I have time (and money to afford getting another army! )
Yeah I just wanted to have a playful joke with our resident Tau fanatic
I personally would recommend playing 5th and 6th because they feature so much less bloat than the current editions, though 9th Edition does look more interesting than 7th and 8th admittedly.
Which army/armies are you considering?
I fear I will never be as passionate about everything as this guy is about playing the tambourine...
He's in a lot of PMJ videos and is always the same. "My part is small but I'm going to milk it for all it's worth!"
They were. ATM not so much.
The problem with Tau is that the idea is cool and the models too (i've got a pretty large army), bur the concept creates a big problem in terms of balance.
There are 3 phases in which you can damage the opponent. Psichic, shooting, melee.
Basically all armies can count on all 3 of them, while Tau only have shooting.
When shooting works, it annihilate you ("OMG, Tau are so OP!")
When it doesn't, Tau have no chance to survive.
I've always liked the idea of robotic suits (Iron Man, Space Marines, the exo-skeleton from Aliens, an obscure movie called Guvyer, etc.) so I agree it's a cool concept.
now that i think on it, it could be a discussion in the 40k thread...
obvious necron propaganda, they would never get that close to glorious tau fire warriors
Speaking of undead warriors...
ARISE, THREAD AND DO MY BIDDING!!!!!
the previous post was like 2 weeks ago. Not serious necromancy here, move along.
But while we're here, I'm planning to do a Necron "slave list". muhahahahah.
YOU THINK YOU CAN COMMAND MY THRALL, PUNY MORTAL?!?! HAVE AT THEE!!!!
