Define "better". If the objective is to hold the last post, then the most boring and easily spammed system is the best. Previously I found a bunch of (sometimes) interesting pictures; though I saved the best ones for my random thread. On the does take more effort though. @Imrahil 's pokemon strategy proved pretty strong... a source of over a thousand images that can easily be posted on mass. And it had the benefit of attracting limited interaction. This new hobbit strategy is even more spammy. Aside from the legality of reproducing the entirety of a copyrighted work on the website, I need a stronger counter strategy. The numbers strategy is superior in everyway.... the Hobbit strategy will afford him many thousands of posts, the numbers strategy grants me infinite posts the Hobbit strategy is easy to spam, the numbers strategy is easier to spam the Hobbit strategy is an illegal reproduction of copyrighted work, the numbers strategy is not
Well, to hold the last post is a goal that is really difficult to gain. Given the very nature of LO, there will be someone that will awake the thread, thus starting it again. At most, it could be closed by a Mod. Nah, the way i see it, the real goal of this thread is to entertain us. So, to post The Hobbit or countless numbers is a boring way to keep the thread alive and counteproductive from an entertainment pov.
True. At best we have to estimate accrued lead time. That's what we have The Random Thread of Random Randomness for! As I said, the numbers strategy is simply a counter to the hobbit strategy. Even I'm not going to try to outpost hobbit spam with original content that has to be searched for. That's a losing strategy.
@Killer Angel ... what if I spice up the numbers strategy? 4324237493274239427492479324723949237849 Allows me to spam Hashut goodness, and the variation of numbers ensures that the post is not technically a duplicate!
Why don't you starting to write a Story? Everyone write a sentence and the next one has to add something.
Now that is a great idea "Far above the Jungle's canopies, on the steep slopes of Sotek's spine, a small figure made its way forward."
"Small, icy crystals were carried from the high peaks by the cold winds. The skink stopped, and took off his backpack"
