The gameplay may be as bland as ever (is it? I only played the first one and after a few hours quit because it was so damn repetitive) but those pictures sure look nice!
This is the first Assassin's Creed game I've played, but from I have heard, the combat system is completely different from the ones in the previous iterations.
Occasionally I wonder why I haven't played Warhammer before. But then I see models like that one and remember ar least one reason why.
That model is really old school and one of the worst sculpts even for its time. I particularly find that models prior to 6th edition leave much to be desired. I think that from 6th edition on wards the models became much better looking. In know 6th edition is responsible for many of my favourite sculpts even when measured by today's standards (Slann, Hellcannon, Be'lakor, etc). Like anything else, things progress over time. If we didn't have those models back in the day, we wouldn't have the nicer ones that we enjoy today.
That's true. And I agree that some of the old school models, are still very good, from a visual pov. The vampires of blood dragon bloodline is another example.
Warriors of Chaos, Glade Guard, Casket of Souls, Juan Diaz Daemonettes (both on foot and mounted) Glade Riders & Archaon on his horse are all excellent as well.
Empire magazine came with a bunch of Last Jedi related stuff this month, including an almost-A4 sized double sided picture which is now framed on my wall, I'll take a picture of it tonight.
