Hello boys and girls and welcome to Let's Get Motivated - August 2024

This thread is too get us motivated each month into finishing projects that we have on the go, the rules are fairly simple.

At the start of the month post what you intend to try and finish this month, it can be models/terrain/conversions of any game type. No pressure if you don't finish anything this is for motivation nothing else.

Around the middle of the month post your progress, no images please, if you have want to share your progress with images, upload them into your blog and supply a link.

Around the end of the month post your progress, again no images, if you have finished a piece upload the images into your blog and supply a link.

The reason I don't want images in this thread is too get everyone that takes part views intheir personal blog where the community can critique, etc.

You don't have a paint blog? well get one started in this forum section.

If you need advice etc. post here and the community will try and answer.

I'm looking forward to seeing everyone share their progress

Paint 5 Tartarus Terminators from the Burning of Prospero
Paint 6 miscellaneous/RPG models

Give a villain monologue at the Grey Horde
 
This will be interesting month as I won't be in the office till second half, so paint time will be sparse.
Paint at least 10 grenadiers for Bolt Action
Finish couple of tanks for FoW
Finish Feathered serpent entry
Paint couple of MESBG minis
 
August will have to be a better hobby month:

- finish painting 10 Uruk-hai Scouts
- paint the 2 Golden tier units of the Necropolis faction (HoMM3 Boardgame)
- paint an entry for the Golden Serpent contest

- write a story for the Short-story contest

Paint at least 10 grenadiers for Bolt Action
Finish couple of tanks for FoW
Finish Feathered serpent entry - on my way
Paint couple of MESBG minis
 
Day 10 Report:

Paint 5 Tartarus Terminators from the Burning of Prospero - Done (my god, Tartarus Terminators are so plain compared to Cataphractii, I was almost let down...)

Paint 6 miscellaneous/RPG models - 3/6

Give a villain monologue at the Grey Horde - "No, Grey Horde, I expect you be coloured! Then, and only then, shall you be permitted to stand vigil on my shelf..."

Bonus Objective for exceptional timing: Finish my frog's lazy-boy. And then cry some more because of the reason I put it off for a few months... I foolishly decided that white marble would be an interesting choice...

Tanks and Serpent entry are in modellers club, so I am a bit blocked, but I´ll try to get there as soon as possible. As bonus to keep myself occupied, I reignited old Tau project.
 
First update:

Give a villain monologue at the Grey Horde - "I shall colour you, with my frickin' laser beam... What do you mean my shark doesn't have a frickin' laser cannon?"

Bonus Objectives:

Finish Slann Mage Priest - In Progress

End of Month Report:

Paint 5 Tartarus Terminators from the Burning of Prospero - Done

Paint 6 miscellaneous/RPG models - Done

Give a villain monologue at the Grey Horde - Done: "I am the death of grey masses. Where my gaze touches, I shall eradicate all greyness... for they are lesser. And I do not suffer the existence of my lessers. Mwahahaha!"

Bonus Objectives:

Finish Slann Mage Priest - Done (at least as much as I can tolerate... hate painting whites, and I am a fool who thought "white marble would be a cool look for the Slann's chair! I consider it done in that it is good enough... now leave my sight before I destroy you in a rage of white fuelled RAGE!)

5 Brotherhood light infantry - Done
 
Well, my main goal was to get some vehicles finished. If I can crank out another Chimera I will be happy. Other than, I've got a shed load of bits I need to add gold to in the on-going process to mass produce stuff.
If I can also get my 3rd Kroxigor finished that would be a bonus. half a day left :P

I at least did something for FOW in last minute. Painted MMG platoon.
I also painted two units of pathfinders, 14 drones, assembled unit of crisis suits and started working on some Nids.
