Hello boys and girls and welcome to Let's Get Motivated - December 2024

This thread is too get us motivated each month into finishing projects that we have on the go, the rules are fairly simple.

At the start of the month post what you intend to try and finish this month, it can be models/terrain/conversions of any game type. No pressure if you don't finish anything this is for motivation nothing else.

Around the middle of the month post your progress, no images please, if you have want to share your progress with images, upload them into your blog and supply a link.

Around the end of the month post your progress, again no images, if you have finished a piece upload the images into your blog and supply a link.

The reason I don't want images in this thread is too get everyone that takes part views intheir personal blog where the community can critique, etc.

You don't have a paint blog? well get one started in this forum section.

If you need advice etc. post here and the community will try and answer.

I'm looking forward to seeing everyone share their progress

Right... December goals...

Assemble 6 Fireforge Footknights
Prime 6 Fireforge Footknights

Taking a short break from the redcoat saurus so I don't burn myself out on doing the same thing so often. I still have 50 or 60 of them to go... >.<

So, nice, simple. Some more of The Efror Guard's troops to be fodder for the Old World shall be assembled. Otherwise, December shall be a slow quiet one for me, need some relaxation from the paintbrush in general. So assembling some chaps in chainmail is a nice break.
 
Oof. I think I'll spend december by finishing couple more drawer models that are sitting ducks for multiple months and rest of stuff I started last month.
I would like to finish:
Plague bloat drone - preshaded in drawer
Isengard berserkers - primed in drawer
Isengard demo team - preshaded in drawer
German halftracks - basecoated with camo
Slann - preshaded
Tiburon tau proxy - mostly done
Assemble Taunar body and glue onto base
 
My goals for this month:

- paint Lurtz
- paint 6 Uruk-hai scouts
- paint 9 Uruk-hai warriors

- paint a bronze unit of the Dungeon faction of HoMM3

- paint my Gondor board

Well November went quick.
Lots happening this month so I am going to be easy on myself here
  • Saurus Castellan
  • Solution for hands
  • 2nd Hellhound
I'll list story progress for those interested too
  • Battle Report: GoS vs Sisters
  • Underworld: Redux (second Necromunda story)
  • Day in the life of: Hyan-Ty
  • Saurus: Part III
 
I have a lot of things i would like to do:
Paint my grey necrons (3 ctan, 6 wraiths...)
Paint my grey/primered tallarn (2 dorn, 6 bullgryn, 5 camel riders, 4 sentinels...)
Build some desert terrains
Do some proper bases for my whole tau army

I will be satisfied if i manage do do one of those projects. :p
 
First update of the month:
I went full parent mode as both kiddo and better half are laying ill. :D

Sad thing to have the whole gang laying ill, good luck parenting and I hope you will be spared this attack of Nurgle ;)

So far so good and it's been almost two weeks of them coughing. But since I might have just jinxed it, I better go and make some hot tea. :)
 
Second update of the month. Things are finally moving forward! :)

Plague bloat drone - missing base
Isengard berserkers
Isengard demo team
German halftracks
Slann - started painting the frog, throne started
Tiburon tau proxy
Assemble Taunar body and glue onto base

Also, testpainted 3 US rangers.

Yeah... i wasn't. Only thing I'll have to show till end of this year will probably be recording of my coughing. :D

Anyways, to all, I don't know where to put it, but Merry Christmas to you all!

In the end, i went for Tau improvement...
