Hello boys and girls and welcome to Let's Get Motivated - February 2018

This thread is too get us motivated each month into finishing projects that we have on the go, the rules are fairly simple.

At the start of the month post what you intend to try and finish this month, it can be models/terrain/conversions of any game type. No pressure if you don't finish anything this is for motivation nothing else.

Around the middle of the month post your progress, no images please, if you have want to share your progress with images, upload them into your blog and supply a link.

Around the end of the month post your progress, again no images, if you have finished a piece upload the images into your blog and supply a link.

The reason I don't want images in this thread is too get everyone that takes part views in their personal blog where the community can critique, etc.

You don't have a paint blog? well get one started in this forum section.

If you need advice etc post here and the community will try and answer.

I'm looking forward to seeing everyone share their progress

Cheers Crowsfoot

February 2018

I hope to finish my Black Templar and my Maggotkin army.

Around 30 Templars

Maggotkin consists off,

Great Unclean One
30 Plaguebearers
6 Plague drones
9 Nurglings
2 Poxwalkers
Chaos Gargant
Horticulous Slimux
Sloppity Bilepiper

My goals for February are low right now because my time is very limited:

1. I want to finish my Bastiladon. That one should be easy, only the base and some snakes for the Ark of Sotek are left to do.
2. I want to finish two more Citadel woods. Again, this _should_ be doable, main work is done. There is only some flock to apply.
3. I want to finish my set of Terradons/Ripperdactyls (convertible, I call them Terradactyls). Right now I am working on the basecoat.
4. I want to build and paint my Sunblood. I haven't started that one yet.

aaand that's it. I have some other stuff on my list but I want to keep this short for motivation. It is unlikely that I will get more than that done in February.

This month I aim to:

- Finish painting the second SC Nurgle box (half a unit of plaguebearers, nurglings and plaguedrones to go)
- Paint both Mournguls I am getting for my birthday (harder than it sounds for me because I'll need to decide on a basing theme for my Death army at the same time)

I'm not going to commit to anything more than that because we're going away for half term and February is a short month as it is!

This month I aim to:

-Finish painting my Disciples of Tzeentch army list which I need to get done for the 24th, as I have a big tournament coming up! The majority of it is done, only need to finish 20 Pink Horrors (already based and shaded) and then 20 Tzaangors and I'm good to go!

-Start and finish my brand new Balewind Vortex!

My goal for the end of the month is to paint at least one of my terrain fences.

While this is a relatively tiny goal, I won't be able to start at it before end of the month due to work, and it will be my first painting project since late 90ies so will be interesting :)

Sounds infinitely do-able unless you go super detailed on highlights on the black templara

New user, getting back into the miniatures! Hoping to get a unit of 24 Skinks finished, so far they're just undercoated in Enchanted Blue. Haven't actually stuck their arms on yet either, for ease of painting.

1. Welcome.

2. Start a blog. I'll follow your progress.

3. Did you prime them before the enchanted blue?

4. Do you have questions?
