Hello boys and girls and welcome to Let's Get Motivated - February 2025

This thread is to get us motivated each month into finishing projects that we have on the go, the rules are fairly simple.

At the start of the month post what you intend to try and finish this month, it can be models/terrain/conversions of any game type. No pressure if you don't finish anything this is for motivation nothing else.

Around the middle of the month post your progress, no images please, if you have want to share your progress with images, upload them into your blog and supply a link.

Around the end of the month post your progress, again no images, if you have finished a piece upload the images into your blog and supply a link.

The reason I don't want images in this thread is too get everyone that takes part views in their personal blog where the community can critique, etc.

You don't have a paint blog? well get one started in this forum section.

If you need advice etc. post here and the community will try and answer.

I'm looking forward to seeing everyone share their progress

My goals for this month will be:

- paint the two silver units of the Dungeon faction of HoMM3 the board game
- paint 7 Uruk-hai warriors with pike
- paint 2 Uruk-hai warriors with crossbow (conversion)

- make progress on my Gondor board

- read all the stories in the Short-story contest, write a review and vote. (I urge you all to read and vote as well ;))

This month will be plentiful in goals, as I currently have hands in too many large pies. :)

I would like to finish at least 4 of these, but I don't know which ones yet.

Paint one unit of crisis battlesuits with sooo many weapons
Paint unit of Tau reptile auxiliaries
Paint unit of Tau Guevesa breachers
Paint 20 US rangers for Bolt Action
Glue, base, prime and preshade orcs for MESBG
Paint Quar Crusade Patrol with Chyweetl tractor and mechanic
Finish painting Stuffed Fables
Prime, preshade and start painting Feathered Serpent entry

Prime and basecoat US vehicles for Bolt Action (if I get to modellers club)
Continue work on German halftracks for Bolt Action (if I get to modellers club)
Continue work on Taunar (if I get to modellers club)

Paint the next ten Saurus Redcoats
Begin painting my galleon - I will give myself bonus points if I end up painting it entirely in the one month :-P
Paint a minimum of three random RPG models

Bonus: Paint five chainmail-clad crossbowmen

Nothing more exhilarating than leaping back into it after taking it easy last month!

no, I'm stating that is my goal. sorry for the confusion.

I've painted the sexiest amount of models so far (69.) I have 6 more on my painting desk, and 15 on deck.

End of February Report:

Paint the next ten Saurus Redcoats - Done
Begin painting my galleon - I will give myself bonus points if I end up painting it entirely in the one month - Eh... muuuuch less painting than I intended, but I have filled the gaps in the seams with some green stuff.
Paint a minimum of three random RPG models - Done

Bonus: Paint five chainmail-clad crossbowmen - Bonus failed
However, I did assemble some cavalry, so... bonus swapped?

I wanted to finish at least 4 of these, but nope. 3 done total, couple started. :)

Also, bonus objective: Paint commission nids that come in mail - 1 painted, 22 missing edge highlights
