Hello boys and girls and welcome to Let's Get Motivated - January 2023

This thread is too get us motivated each month into finishing projects that we have on the go, the rules are fairly simple.

At the start of the month post what you intend to try and finish this month, it can be models/terrain/conversions of any game type. No pressure if you don't finish anything this is for motivation nothing else.

Around the middle of the month post your progress, no images please, if you have want to share your progress with images, upload them into your blog and supply a link.

Around the end of the month post your progress, again no images, if you have finished a piece upload the images into your blog and supply a link.

The reason I don't want images in this thread is too get everyone that takes part views in their personal blog where the community can critique, etc.

You don't have a paint blog? well get one started in this forum section.

If you need advice etc. post here and the community will try and answer.

I'm looking forward to seeing everyone share their progress

Well... I dougbt that this month will be as successfull as december, but we´ll see.

-Paint second bastiladon
-Paint third unit of Skinks
-Paint third unit of Warriors
-Paint fourth (and final) unit of Knights
-Paint at least one group for my Descent project

Im gonna go easy this month since i just want to wrap up some unfinished projects from last time. Let's see how much I can do

  • Finish painting the infamous gryph hound
  • Start painting a skink priest
  • Prime some skinks
  • Continue to slowly work on Saurus warriors
 
First update after 10 days:

Bastiladon is nearly finished. Knights are preshaded and warriors are primed. I am on good way to success. :)
 
Made some progress, here be my halfway(ish) month update:

Assemble:
5 Sisters of Battle: Completed!
1 Model of the Month: (Appears at GW near end of month)
Countess Isa Strandt Vampire Explorer: Completed!

Conversion:
Give Isa a Pith Helmet, green stuff some hair, and green stuff a carpet for base: Completed!

Paint:
1 Punga Minis Pirat:
Hrothgorn’s Trappers: Two Gnoblers Completed, Sabretusk was actually completed over a year ago, Booby Trap Completed, Piggyback Gnoblers skin basecoated.
2 Models of the Month: Went for the previous months' Skink and Squat - Completed!
5 Sisters of Battle: All undercoated, one Sister's armour has been started.

I've paint 101 miniatures or equivalency this month so far.

Frankly, I didn't realize I'd get this far. I guess commission painting is a motivator and have 5 projects on the desk at once to jump between works well.

Switching between projects usually is a good refreshment for hobby pace!

As addition, I painted 3 terradons, 14 minis for Bolt Action and started working on old metal terradons.

As usual posting this later than I should, but oh well

  • The pigeon has been out stubborned, it is finally done and I don't have to touch it ever again aside for use in games
  • Speaking of stubborn models, seems like skink priest will be the next in line to tale care of
  • I couldn't prime any skinks due to wearher issues
  • The saurus are going well, but they're not even close to being finished.
