Hello boys and girls and welcome to Let's Get Motivated - June 2021

This thread is too get us motivated each month into finishing projects that we have on the go, the rules are fairly simple.

At the start of the month post what you intend to try and finish this month, it can be models/terrain/conversions of any game type. No pressure if you don't finish anything this is for motivation nothing else.

Around the middle of the month post your progress, no images please, if you have want to share your progress with images, upload them into your blog and supply a link.

Around the end of the month post your progress, again no images, if you have finished a piece upload the images into your blog and supply a link.

The reason I don't want images in this thread is too get everyone that takes part views in their personal blog where the community can critique, etc.

You don't have a paint blog? well get one started in this forum section.

If you need advice etc. post here and the community will try and answer.

I'm looking forward to seeing everyone share their progress

I will kick off first.

My goals for June would be something like this:

- Play a game of Middle Earth SBG Battle Companies
- Build another house with a thatched roof
- Reading some more stories of LO members
perhaps also
- Paint the new build house

Here are my goals for June:

  • Paint and base 1-2 Character models (Either Count Dooku, Cad Bane or Padme Amidala).
  • Paint and base my Phase 1 clone personnel upgrades.
  • At least make a start on painting my Republic AT-RT.

If I can get all these done I might make some time to build and clean some more models ready for priming. Maybe back to some Lizardmen next month haha :p

-Finish Construction of the Ultra-Stegadon I've printed (he's just ... so big)
-Construct 6 Terradons with custom riders
-Paint Skink Riders for Howdahs and Special Terradon
-Buy 6 Terradons
-Buy new Lord Kroak
-Construct 10 Skink Skirmishers
-Prime 10 Skinks
-Prime Ultra-Steg
-Prime 6 Terradons
-Construct Lord Kroak with Magnetize Options move him to "Big Chonky Boy"

My goals are as follows:
1) Finish off the mordheim lizardmen warband from my profile picture
2) Paint up my freshly converted stegadon and find a colour scheme for my new army
3) Magically find a few hundred £££ lying around to fund my new army
4) Give up on 3) and beg/borrow/steal from close family members so that my motivation and inspiration dont abandon me (again)
5) Use the money from 4) to get a start collecting box so I can finally own a carnosaur (or possibly Troglodon) - wanted the model since it was released but never had an excuse to
6) Convert said Carnosaur/Troglodon into an action pose to instil terror in my enemies

Nice. Carnosaur is THE model that made me get Lizardmen as my first army (even if they did neuter monsters for the most part in 8th Edition.)
 
Well since im back safe and sound I think it would be nice tobwrite my plans for the month.

1. resist the primal urge to buy lord kroak, I have a lot of models to do and I don't think i can do him justice yet
2. Finish painting my skinks because they're almost ready. (Note this does not include shields and bases cause I do not own the paints and materials I want to use)
3. Attempt to salvage my troglodon's head. I will only buy a new one if the current one gets butchered too hard.
4. Like bomb all of the posts I missed while away.
 
  • Finish the Chameleon Skink from Star blood stalkers
  • Have to restart mendoza cause the amount of chipping is too much. Need to strip it and use a new primer
  • Start MO Action pack
  • Wait for kroak and SBGL: Vampire lord
