Hello boys and girls and welcome to Let's Get Motivated - June 2022 This thread is too get us motivated each month into finishing projects that we have on the go, the rules are fairly simple. At the start of the month post what you intend to try and finish this month, it can be models/terrain/conversions of any game type. No pressure if you don't finish anything this is for motivation nothing else. Around the middle of the month post your progress, no images please, if you have want to share your progress with images, upload them into your blog and supply a link. Around the end of the month post your progress, again no images, if you have finished a piece upload the images into your blog and supply a link. The reason I don't want images in this thread is too get everyone that takes part views in their personal blog where the community can critique, etc. You don't have a paint blog? well get one started in this forum section. If you need advice etc. post here and the community will try and answer. I'm looking forward to seeing everyone share their progress Grrr, Imrahil
I will attempt to do the following: - Complete my latest Gondor building - Complete four parts of my bridge creation - Paint at least 3 Black Dragon Warriors - Paint up a hero model for my Minas Tirith Battle Company - Have another game night Grrr, Imrahil
I'm going to: 1. Paint and base my Bull Centaurs. 2. [swallows, visibly nervous] Paint and base both my Magma Cannons. We'll see how I do as it's getting a bit mental IRL right now.
Goals for June 1. Forward progression on the skorne commission. 2. Forward progression on the 28mm Nurgle army
Goal for June!! keep up with my escalation league (every time got push back for a week since we had major storm hit and power when out across the city some out for over a week!!) find build and paint 2 miniature for a friend!! And have fun!!
My goals for June: Build more models. Prime some models. Sand and prime some 3D printed terrain. Paint at least one unit for Star Wars Legion. Bonus (optimistic) goal - play a game of Legion or 8th edition.
The first one is done: - Complete my latest Gondor building - Complete four parts of my bridge creation - Paint at least 3 Black Dragon Warriors - Paint up a hero model for my Minas Tirith Battle Company - Have another game night Grrr, Imrahil
I'm going to go out on a limb and say: 3. Have a battle between my Tomb Kings and my friends Warriors of Chaos! It seems like we may have our schedules align (I just don't want to jinx it).
Both of my vague goals have been met. 1. commission scheme accepted by my client 2. making progress on my nurgle army. 6 models painted, a bunch more worked on. new goals: 1. Reach 10 painted nurgle marauders 2. paint 35 of the 70 skorne i have in this commission, at least.
Since the same problems as last month unfortunately still persist, there is only one goal in the gaming area this time: To bring my dwarf character in Warhammer: Chaosbane to the maximum level and to unlock as many Steam achievements as possible for it.
Time for some updates: - Complete my latest Gondor building - Complete four parts of my bridge creation - Paint at least 3 Black Dragon Warriors - Paint up a hero model for my Minas Tirith Battle Company - Have another game night Grrr, Imrahil
Update: 1. Paint and base my Bull Centaurs. The 5 Bull Centaurs are done and I'm finishing the basing on the Taur-ruk. 2. [swallows, visibly nervous] Paint and base both my Magma Cannons. Probably won't get to these. 3. Have a battle between my Tomb Kings and my friends Warriors of Chaos! Fingers crossed I can do this before end of June when things go mental.
Here's how June went: Build more models. DONE - I built 2 tanks, some battlefield objectives, a Spider Droid and a Super Tactical Droid. Prime some models. DONE - I primed all of my built Star Wars models. Sand and prime some 3D printed terrain. NOT DONE - I didn't find the time for this one unfortunately. Paint at least one unit for Star Wars Legion. DONE - I painted up an AAT tank with 3 commanders and 12 battlefield objectives. I've also started painting 12 ARC Troopers too. Bonus (optimistic) goal - play a game of Legion or 8th edition. NOT DONE - My opponent didn't end up having a free weekend in June.
Update: 1. Paint and base my Bull Centaurs. DONE!!!! And submitted for a painting contest on Chaos Dwarfs Online, so I'll post the photos in my blog once this is over. 2. [swallows, visibly nervous] Paint and base both my Magma Cannons. Nope. 3. Have a battle between my Tomb Kings and my friends Warriors of Chaos! Massive, double-nope with a cherry on top...
I played through the game with the dwarf character. What was most fun was the leveling up with the skill tree. A bit annoying was the limitation of enemy types and the small number of different level types.
