Guess the good thing about having been sitting mostly on the fence since I arrived here, is that I have a sizable collection of paints etc. Just finished spending two hours going over and shaking somewhere between 200 and 300 dropper bottles with paint and weathering effects...

Does anyone know of a good Vallejo to GW conversion sheet? (That mention the color names, the one I have that followed the paint just mention the numbers + the newest is six years old now).
If you have an Android device, grab the paintrack app

Finished my Aspiring Deathbringer. My Bloodstoker is about 1/3rd of the way though. I don't normally post WIP pics, but seeing as it is for Lets Get Motivated I might as well. Pics for both will be up sometime tomorrow.

Downloaded the app and got the pro version, it dont look bad. Though feels cumbersome to use, I do like the color wheel functionality, selecting the right combination of paints for shade/highlight was always something I struggled with before.

In addition to the comparison sheet @NIGHTBRINGER posted, I also found this google document. It is a little outdated as it does not contain many of the new colors, but what I like about this one is that it contain information on how similar the colors are as well.

Passed my first goal, as I'm over 30 Miniature equivalency for the month.

Secondary goal:

Get to 660 miniaMini equivalency for the year. I'm currently at 604

He has a system wherein some models he paints counts as more than one (I'm guessing depending on size/complexity).

Hello Folks,

Not been about for a bit, but I've been given some motivation by a new game (to me) called Burrows & Badgers. Hopefully get my first lot of minis in the post today or tomorrow. It's a small skirmish game so will only need to paint around a dozen models to get it going. So I want to make a start on that this month and get maybe half of those done.

*Thought I'd add a picture for those interested in what the style of game is.

That looks a good game - very much in the style of Redwall.

What is this concept? “...miniaMini..?”
Pardon, my fat fingers misstyped. "Miniature equivalency" is what that should say.

Rules:

Standard infantry count as one for painting

Cavalry count as two for painting

ogre sized models count as two for painting

Monsters count as anywhere between 3-10, depending on size (see below)

Chariots count as 5 for painting

APC transports count as 5

Battle Tanks count as 5

Fliers/aircraft count as 5-10 depending on size (see below)

Larger models determined on a case by case basis

McDougall designs bases do not count for painting but are recorded for posterity

Primaris Marines count as ogre sized

Thanks. That makes much more sense now. Didja know there is some obscure bloke mentioned in 2nd Chronicles, Chapter 31, Verse 15, named “Miniamin”? Two days ago I didn’t know that...
Rules:

[...snip...]

Chariots count as 5 for painting...
It all makes sense except chariots. Seriously. According to the rest of your rules the various components of a chariot would count higher if considered separately.

Two 24x50 cavalry Critters (2 each; Total 4)?
Two infantry crew (1 each; Total 2)?
Wheeled Vehicle... ...at least 1 more?

Why not 7?

The system overall makes sense. :writing: ***takes notes***
