Hello boys and girls and welcome to Let's Get Motivated - November 2021

This thread is too get us motivated each month into finishing projects that we have on the go, the rules are fairly simple.

At the start of the month post what you intend to try and finish this month, it can be models/terrain/conversions of any game type. No pressure if you don't finish anything this is for motivation nothing else.

Around the middle of the month post your progress, no images please, if you have want to share your progress with images, upload them into your blog and supply a link.

Around the end of the month post your progress, again no images, if you have finished a piece upload the images into your blog and supply a link.

The reason I don't want images in this thread is too get everyone that takes part views in their personal blog where the community can critique, etc.

You don't have a paint blog? well get one started in this forum section.

If you need advice etc. post here and the community will try and answer.

I'm looking forward to seeing everyone share their progress

The following will be my goals for this month:

- reading and voting on the Short Story contest
- painting a Rivendell Knight
- assembling the models for a Battle Company for the commission
and if our schedules allow it:
- have an game night with my brother

OH and finaly.

- trying not to post to much on LO before finishing my project for ascension to Slannhood :angelic:

My goals for November.

Assembly:
- Death Guard Foetid Bloat-Drone
- Bastiladon
- 16 Skinks with blowpipes
- last terrain from Defiled Ruins for Warcry

Paint:
- DG Typhus
- 2 DG Blightlord Terminators
- Ork Warboss
- Ork Bust - Skarky
- Gor - Rok

Well last month was a failure in that I was not able to get my Necromancer done in time. Thusly he has been rolled over into this month and a new roulette shall be set up...

For this month:
1 – Classic Queek Headtaker
2 – Two Bloodletters
3 - Classic Wight Standard Bearer
4 – Fellowship Aragorn
5 - A Sister of Battle (painted as a random Order)
6 - Flói Stonehand

And the dice say...Fellowship Aragorn!

I haven't been able to do much stuff recently due to studies, and this month will also be quite busy for me, so I'll probably Just finish my skinks from some time ago as I found the perfect colour for their claws. As a ,,bonus" I'll hopefully finish the guy from october since he had to be repainted because I just didin't like his previous color schemes.

I'm very late to the game here, but with a new army starting (Chaos Dwarfs) I need to get going.

Even though it's late, I'd like to paint my two new Deathshrieker Rockets and assemble the two Magma Cannons.

All I'm gonna say is thank god for Christmas and having a birthday right near it as well (helps to offset expenditures!)

And that completes my Nighthaunt 1k point list.

Poor Taddy...he's so close to being finished but I haven't been in the right mind to do the final highlights and script work.
Another one of the Thunderers is done bar highlights.
The Necromancer still hasn't even been stripped...I will repaint him one day...
Will post picture-things on blog-thing soon...

Well, I've got to say I failed. I converted the Skink Great Crest and only painted one. And regarding the Saurus I did it, but again, I didn't touch the Skink Priest as I wanted to paint him in an albino way and haven´t got the right idea just yet.

As expected not much was done but i can still count what I finished
  • Repainted skinks, they're still painted in aethermatic blue, but using wraithbone as a base coat and not drowning them in contrast paint makes them look nicer.
  • Assembled my 3 "chiefs"
  • Decided to give up on the priest for now as whatever i do he just dosen't want look right, he'll be finished once Im 110% sure that this is the way I want to go with him

Unfortunately, I also did not complete my goal. I had actually taken this week off work in part to advance my hobby projects, but life got in the way: a power outage, a baby doctor's visit, and a pantry infestation requiring an exterminator. Thankfully, I'm not too far from finishing so it'll be first priority for December.
