Let's Get Motivated - November 2022

Did not get anywhere near my goal for November.

Finished the build and magnetizing for the EotG.

Got all of the guard models started. But only finished 6/15.

Didn't even touch the Slann to finish him up.

Hopefully I will free up some time in December!

My end of the month recap:

- finish painting 5 skinks with blowpipe (shields and bases left to do)
- finish painting 4 Mordor Orcs

- finish some Gondor Scenery I started last month
- Specify plans I have for more Gondor Scenery

- Have a game night with my brother to start/testplay our new campaign

- Read and vote on the Short-Story competition(write some form of review as well)

- And of course the workshop that I gave

- And the stray projects that I did

Grrr, !mrahil

I forgot to mention the extra 11 Mordor Orcs and 2 Morannon Orcs I got done last week :)

Um... I got one of my big squigs turned into a Squigga Kan, and then got sidetracked working on 3rd edition Predator/Rhino/Vindicator tanks for a Chaos Marine Armored Company I came up with... so... hobbying got done, but not what I'd intended?

Okay so Im a little bit late but here's my recap:

  • The skinks are based and ready for priming. I didin't prime them because I found out the hard way that the sparay I was using melts the type of plastic that GW models are made of.
  • I managed to at least finish the base for that gryph hound since sadly that was the reason for my spray discovery. At least it was a model that I can get cheaply online and not one of the skinks. (but on the bright side, now I have a broken gryph hound statue terrain piece/objective marker)
  • I finished painting the seraphon inspired terrain, It could've turned out better, but it was mainly done to test out some paints and ideas as well as being usefull for games. I also finished my trees made out of crudely melted sprues and a small extra terrain bit

:wideyed: what primer were you using that melts Polystyrene that easily!

In hindsight, the solvent in most rattlecans will melt styrofoam, but I am impressed if it is enough to take off injection molded polystyrene as well.

Well done on your progress!

That is tough stuff. From what distance did you spray the miniature?
