Hello boys and girls and welcome to Let's Get Motivated - September 2020

This thread is too get us motivated each month into finishing projects that we have on the go, the rules are fairly simple.

At the start of the month post what you intend to try and finish this month, it can be models/terrain/conversions of any game type. No pressure if you don't finish anything this is for motivation nothing else.

Around the middle of the month post your progress, no images please, if you have want to share your progress with images, upload them into your blog and supply a link.

Around the end of the month post your progress, again no images, if you have finished a piece upload the images into your blog and supply a link.

The reason I don't want images in this thread is too get everyone that takes part views in their personal blog where the community can critique, etc.

You don't have a paint blog? well get one started in this forum section.

If you need advice etc. post here and the community will try and answer.

I'm looking forward to seeing everyone share their progress

Well I have made some big progress in the last few months, my total completed model count is up to 156 painted models since June, which include the big batch of models I just did for my 24-hr challenge.

This month my goal is to finish the collection of Adeptus Mechanicus I have next in the paint queue!
 
I started work again this month after a few months of furlough so I might not get much done. But the aim is to finish as much as I can of the Star Wars Legion Clone Wars Core Set
 
I only have 3 models in my uncompleted pile so im going to try to get them done. Then look at upgrading storage for models and RPGs books and then maybe either oathmark dwarf HI, SC GWF or the Einherjar from wargaming atlantic.

Here we go: On Friday I'll have my first Warcry game with my friends. My list includes 3 Saurus Guards that aren't finished and I dont have the mood to finish them.

Also, I'm having a pile of 15 Saurus almost finished. I just lost every bit of motivation I had when I started them.

I keep seeing images of other painters and I know I'll never get a 10% of that level.

On the other hand, I finished my Bastiladon (not the Solar Engine and the Skinks) so I can finally play with him. Spoiler: he did nothing on his first game. I also bought isopropyl alcohol to strip my Carnosaur, my Starpriest and my Troglodon, good news I guess.

Im joining in, need to finish my 2k army for a tourney in october, as you see in my painting Blog i was quote productive the last days so whats left from now is

BWV (in the Blog today)
Spellportal (already finished, in the Blog in a few minutes)
Troglodon
10 Guard
~100 Skinks

For September here are my goals!!

Finished off my droidekas today. Next I'll finish assembling Grievous and start painting the clone troopers. If anyone fancies following me on instagram you can find me at @quarrythief. I usually post painting pictures there before other places.

Some like that but first,got to fix the moulding issue first and then take the mould line off!!! Then wash and then base coat!! Hehehe
 
So far this month, I have completed the following:

- Slann Starmaster (original metal Slann from 97 converted into a floating palanquin)
- A full custom Dread Saurian conversion
- 5x Saurus warriors

Currently I am still working on the following, trying to get them done by the end of the month.

- 5x more Saurus Warriors
- Skink Oracle on Troglodon
 
My angry angry scots men are completed. So i have no pile of shame but, alot of empty sprues though. I'm thinking either dwarfs or SC seraphon next.
 
Returning to work slowed my painting down by quite a bit. I did manage to get a good chunk of the SW:Legion core set done though, hopefully I'll have it finished in October.

And on top of that got my job back... shoot I won’t have time to paint anymore... or will I!!!
